One silver star is the Major ranking. Get 35 and 300xp and you get two silver stars and get to be a Commander like me

I hate that n00bs who send in stupid vids to the dudes at bungie get free recon armor,One vid a guy shot some explosive barrels and a cone killed him when it got launched thrue the air.Wow!dumb luck = recon armor I hardly see how that guy deserves the aromor.

Well I finally got my 360 at the end of November this year and now I have connected up to Live and will be getting Halo 3 tomorrow from my girlfriend for Christmas, she also got me the wireless adaptor to connect up yesterday. Is it advisable to play through the single player mode before attempting online multiplayer? I`ve played it a bit before, however it was only for about an hour or 2. Also what difficultly level should I give the single player mode a go at? I won`t be considering easy so I`m weighing up between normal/medium or heroic?

If anyone has any thoughts, ideas or advice to give me on the multiplayer side of things please feel free to comment

Well this might be late, but I do suggest going through the campaign mode before trying the mulitplayer version of the game. However, you should feel free to play the campaign with more then one player, because that makes it more fun.

I finished the campaign on normal difficultly today and was surprised at just how short it was, however it was still incredibly enjoyable and I will definatey be giving the heroic and legendary difficulty modes a go. I also played my first few online matches today and have achieved the rank of private, its incredibly addictive.

My friend has an Xbox 360, I played Halo 2 with him, on co-op. It was okay. Finished co-op with him on Halo 3 too. (We are going thru legendary now). To be honest, I dont think Halos that exciting. I enjoy working with my friend on the missions, but I wouldnt play it alone. Also, I, and my friend who loves online gaming thought the multi player online was quite boring really. If you enjoy it though, cool.

your friend is not a true halo fan if he thinks the online play is boring. Halo online owns!!!

Halo 3 is overrated. Don't get me wrong, I bought Halo 3 but it isn't anything special.

Usually when people say "Dont get me wrong" they state somthing positive about what ever they are talking about after saying I think (blank) is over rated.
