Ever since I could remember, I could see the rods, light trails, and orbs that people actually photograph. I don't see them ALL the time, but I do see them. Once, I was seeing them so much in the living room that when my mom walked it I started crying because I just couldn't explain what I was seeing.
They come out of things, into things, from things, around things, usually bright white (think about when you take a sparkler when you play with fireworks and move it from side to side and you see the 'tail'... that's kind of how I'm trying to explain it), sometimes blue or green.
Anybody explain these?
Anybody else see them with the naked eye and not just on film?

I don't wanna sound rude, b/c I do believe that you could be seeing these things, but have you ever gone to an eye doctor and explained what you are seeing? Just to rule out something being seriously wrong with your eyes.

Nope, you're definetly right in saying that. I have seen my eye doctor (I do have astigmatism,) which I wear glasses for on occasion, and I have had my brain scanned (I overdosed on asprin and had convulsion seizures when I was 14

shhhhhh and they wanted to rule out brain tumors and stroke and stuff like that - as for as I can tell everything is a-okay. Not saying that a scan can rule EVERYTHING out... but in terms of seriousness...)
The only reason it bothers me so much is because... man you really got to see it through my eyes and how beautiful these things can be and the way they move. My mom sees them *rarely*. Once were were sittign in the living room watching TV and we both saw one of the light rod dealies and turned our head in the same direction. We laughed about it after.

I watched a whole TV program about rods and it said that they were debunked as flying insects and particles that are blurred in the vision of a camera. As for the orbs, it's probably your astigmatism. I have eye problems and I see orb-like things too. I wouldn't worry about them.

Have you ever considered them to be possibley seizure related? Not the unconcous convulsive type, but there sa type where you see things that are funny. It would not explain why you and your mom seen these things at the same time though, that is odd.

I know right before I get a headache, I can all kinds of things flash before me. I get zig-zag patterns, bursts of bright light, tunnel vision all kinds of things. The Dr. said they are called "Auras". Some people get them when a headache is coming. I was told it is nothing. Just a warning to stock up on aspirin.
