I also tend to be a logical person that doesn't believe in this sort of stuff. I felt very foolish just posting it. I believe more often than not, it's just stuff we create in our heads; however, this stuff I posted stood out enough for me to feel like posting it.
No reason to feel foolish - it's actually an excellent question. One of the things that I might suggest is doing a little research into your genetic history. I would wager a pretty safe bet that your some of your ancestors likely come from one of the colder colder countries, like Greenland, Iceland, Norway, etc.
Genetic memories are a fun thing to explore since they are little pieces here and there that "connect" at various times and places. "feelings" - "dej'vu" and such.
There was one case where a teen kept having this 'awarness' that he was a fisherman in a 'past life' and lost a couple of fingers.... It was suggested that he talk to his grandparents about this, if something like this happened that they were aware of. Only his grandmother on his father side was alive. So he did talk to her and was startled by what he heard.
First thing his grandmother asked, "Who told you?? This was never talked about!" So he just told her what he had been going through. The story??
His grandfather when he was in his mid 20's lost two fingers in a fishing accident. Before his father was even born. It was never to be talked about, because the accident involved his best friend. He did not want his friend to 'feel the burden' of this - it was exactly what it was - an accident. So it was never talked about, period. I understand in Norway when that is the 'rule stated' it is never violated.
Now according to all the 'rules' that I have heard - in re-incarnation, you cannot be your 'g'parent' and such. Apparently against some 'rule'.
There are other stories where the same thing was done and it was found that a lot of these - that could be researched - were indeed 'genetic memories' from their past. Usually not all that far back either - g'parent or g'grandparent. Never any further, with the exception of one actually being g'g''grandparent.
What are genetic memories - well as there are many stories of people that wind up with organ transplants 'taking on' some of the 'characteristics' of the donar - it works that way. Something in the DNA - Genes that if there are similarities, they 'match' or cause - 'deja'vu' sort of feelings. Only to find out that the donar did, liked or had some attachment to the 'deja'vu'.
Hope this helps....
