I honestly don't think much would change. People will still find a way to have faith in something. People will still find a way to irritate each other. People would still find another cause or idea that causes them to argue and be awful to each other.

I think the only thing that would change would be that killing in the name of religion wouldn't exist.

South Park did an episode once that was set in the distant future. All the world's religions had disbanded and were replaced by rival atheist groups who had conflicting views on evolution...and about what their official name should be.
Point is: people will always congregate with others who share their beliefs, religion or not.

Wouldn't affect me...A lot of religion is corrupt, and greedy and faulty. It wouldn't even touch the relationship I have between God and myself. Even thought it is good for you to get together with a group of like minded people and share experience and such.

I agree, someone would come along and invent some religion (for example scientology). Anyway, if religion didn't exist people would kill over money, and it's what they have been killing for since the begining right.

Not all of religion has been killing and such. And people who do kill for religion don't necessarily reflect the people that don't kill in the name. Do I think muslim extremist that strap bombs to their chest reflect all of the Islam community? No i sure dont, I have seen and experienced muslims that welcomed us in Iraq. I dont expect someone to view the thousands of different sub-groups of Christianity as my own personal relationship with Christ.

Are we talking about the complete disappearance of the current organized religions, or the complete loss of religious faith and belief as a human characteristic?
In the former's case, what would probably happen is that there would continue to be an under-current of magical thinking in humanity (there certainly is one today; think of 'folk catholicism', much of the New Age spiritualism, and the like), which was probably the original root for the organized religions that came to be prominent in society. It might lead to new organized religions (Scientology is a good example of this happening in recent times), but I doubt that, in the current societal climate, they would gain mass followings on the level of Christianity and Islam.
The latter would essentially be the death of religion and magical thinking, and with that religion.

would there be as much fighting and killing in the world? i think yes and no. i think that humans need something to hold onto, something to believe in. but at the same time no one would be waging mass genocide in the name of religion.

They would just be doing it in the name of something else.

Yep. Humanity suffers from a rather extreme herd mentality and there isn't much that can be done about that

Ahh a real cause at last. Though I must say that I would rather fight over the Cricket.
