I had this really wierd experience when i was on a football pitch the other day. I had just been playing football and had come back to chat with my friends, after a few minute of being there my mind took over my body and i suddenly brought my arms up to protect my face, and only split seconds after that someone had shot a ball wildly and iit hit my arms. After that I told myself that that was wierd because i hadnt seen the ball coming and my body reacted to defend itself before the ball was shot. Weird but Cool!!! w00t.gif

I can forsee a lot of skepticism in your future.

Or maybe you saw the ball being kicked and instinctively reacted without thinking.

Crazy enough for ya?

Yeah, you probably just saw it in your peripheral vision. Most people realize that directly after it happens.

Dude, if the ball was about to hit you in the face then i bet you nething that ur eyes picked it up. It was just a reflex reaction to something that ur peripheral vision. You might'nt have been aware of it but i bet u nething that u were hit in the face with a ball in the past and ur memory stored it to be prepared if it ever occured again thus the reflex response

In your situation, your mind probably calculated with the circumstances at the time, the probablity of the ball being kicked at you were large. Then the signal was sent to your body to protect itself by throwing your arms in the air. tongue.gif

Very interesting set of circumstances. You may be interested to know that some of the latest research in a fairly new science called 'consciousness studies' implies that we do not perceive 'reality' straight away but there seems to be some kind of buffering process in the brain. This means that we continually perceive 'out there' around 05 second behind what is actually happening. it could be that another part of the brain accesses this information immedeately and can therefore react quicker than you can. If this were the case another part of you knew that the football was about to crash into your face and took evasive action without you being aware of it. This is rather like that weird effect when you jump just before you here a bang or loud noise. Indeed this can be related to the 'precogs' in the film 'Minority Report'.

No we are talking about more than precognition. It was when I was an elementary student. Aleast one time in my dream I foresore a place where I had never been to before but a few,but which I visited a few days afterwards. And there are many cases in which a person perceived his relatives' or friends' death from a great distance away. It's truly something else!
