I was using the John Bro method and saw this. One metallic ball moving at incredible speeds as the pic shows its path. Faded out or cloaked as I turned my head left to watch it as it passed by my condo about 500 ft. off the ground. It was the size of a mini-van. Scared the crap out of me.

Second was camping. I was peeing outside watching the stars around midnight. Watched one of them move quickly and zig zag back and forth - and it was way up there. That one freaked me out too.

I've only seen one really good one(another maybe..)while awake when I was coming out from my ex girlfriends house years ago. I've told it before but I was out on her driveway and I just felt it and I was drawn to the sky, I looked up and saw what looked like a falling star but slower when it fell.. but when it disappeared another one fell from where it had fallen from. So it was like watching a falling star that did it many times in a row in the same place. It was really weird and I tried to get my girlfriend to look up but she wouldnt and just kept saying that she would in a minute. And by that time it was too late and when she asked what I was on about she just looked up and brushed it off. But the next day because she got the paper delivered we read that there was sightings of this triangle shaped ufo that had been seen all over the country, including my city.. right where we were on that night. So it was mass sightings, lots of people had seen it. Enough to make the news on TV anyway. I couldnt see the actual shape of it though because it was too high and it was night time and alittle cloudy(I just saw a white light slightly bigger than a star that fell and did it again and again) so it makes sense if it was a triangle shaped craft moving thats maybe how the lights would look when the points move you know.. or thats what I figure anyway because everyone else on the news said they saw a triangle craft, so it kinda makes sense what I saw was maybe the light on each point moving around. imo anyway but I voted for being not sure. And it wasnt a shooting star or satellite or anything hey. It was quite unique, and because it was backed up by being in the stories in the news for a few days later(other sightings from Brazil I think came in) it felt quite 'real'. And the strange thing was for me.. was that I felt it before I looked up. I could sense it.

I only saw one once. It was about 9 at night and it appeared in the distance like a star only moving very quickly and in a jaggered pattern. Kinda like it was searching for something. Eventually we got bored staring at it and went inside. Later that night I tried to spot it again but it was gone... I hope nobody got abducted that night...

Hi. I'm new. Sorry I couldn't take your survey. Never have seen one really. But in 1955 or so my family went up to the mountains above Durango, Colorado to see one of my fathers friends and his family where we often visited. My father's friend was named Casey Casebeer. (I kid you not) And yes...they drank beer together while the women talked and us kids ran around outside. Soon night came and all of us fell asleep after supper on an old mattress in one of his back rooms. From what I get we were going to spend the night. Suddenly our Mom came in and got us all up. The dogs began barking like nobody's business and wanted out. We all ran into the frontroom about the same time as my Dad and Casey came bursting through the front door. Casey grabbed one gun off the wall and threw it to my Dad, then he grabbed another one and they went back outside with dogs in tow. We could here the dogs going away up the mountain and the way the adults were acting put the fear of God into us little ones. Something was wrong but we didnt know what. Mom turned around and made another decision. "You kids all git in that back room right now." We started to protest but we did anyway. None of us went to sleep of course so we listened. We heard Flying Saucer this and Flying Saucer that and our eyes got big as saucers as we realized what our moms were talking about. After a little while we heard a couple of gun shots. About a half an hour went by and we heard the dogs coming back and scratching for all their worth to get inside. The women were afraid to open the door. Then Casey and my Dad came busting back in. Dad said "Kids come on, git yer coats on were leaving right now." So we all bundled up and got into the car. On the way back down the mountain we tried to find out what happened but my parents kept telling us to "Shut up and go to sleep." I asked my mom years later when I remembered the incident if it was a flying saucer they had seen. She said "Yes it sure was honey." But of course I didn't really see it so maybe it doesn't count for your survey. Anyway, that's all I got.

I've already posted my litle story in another thread, but hey, what the heck...
It hasn't happened to me personally, but to my mum & sis, so I don't know if that counts...?
Back in ‘87, we were living in the south of France. I of course, was away & missed it all…darn. Anyhoo, one evening late, my mum was looking out the window admiring the starry skies with a friend. The place was way out in the sticks, a small hamlet, and you can get amazing, clear, star-spangled skies down there…
So, they look out the window, and suddenly see two bright lights in the sky, zooming around at great speed in crazy zig-zag patterns. She said it looked like the two lights were “playing with each other” (her words) She said it couldn’t have been airplanes because they were flying backwards & forwards in straight lines really fast. It lasted for about a minute or two, and then they were gone. Interestingly, my sister was out in the woods with her boyfriend the same night (Don’t ask…!) , a couple of miles away, and they noticed the same thing, only they saw just one light zooming around…
You gotta know that neither my mum nor my sister were/are particularly interested in UFO’s & such. My mum’s into Opera, patchwork, dogs & home-made jam. My sister was mainly into, well, boys, at that age…
I especially rang up my mum the other day to refresh my memory, so I wouldn’t tell any inaccuracies…She also said that when she told a neighbour a few days later & the neighbour said that similar things had been seen a few years back… (and believe me, these people are no nonsense farmers, all they‘re interested in is their grape-crops, no high-falutin’ ET theories…)

Hello,
I’m new to this site. I’m glad I found it!
Yes. I have seen a UFO. It was unidentifiable by me but I really think it was heading to the nearby AFB. I submitted a report to the national UFO Reporting Center. I pasted my report below. Whatever they were, they were not deviating in any way. Perfect formation and straight coarse, other than the one turn. I was excited after seeing it and wanted to tell someone. I told my family and some friends. I am not the type of person who makes things up so I was surprised when some people looked at me like I was loosing it or something... No worries. I am not trying to convince anyone but when you see one and tell people, it’s really true, about 30% react strangely. I always believed there are UFOs around or at least that we are not alone in this great big universe...
I didn't really say in the report below, but I think the spheres were about 3-5 ft across each and about 15 - 20 ft apart. This is what I recounted at the time and wrote in The National UFO reporting site:

Duration:15 seconds
Three Spheres moving in formation
Friday evening as I stood on my back porch , three round glowing objects suddenly came into vision from behind the limbs of a large oak tree. I live just east of Lincoln Airport in Northern California. They were silent and moving in a perfect arrow formation. They looked to be about 700 to 1000 ft up, (airport pattern altitude), almost overhead of me but a few hundred feet west and moving very fast, apx 300 or 400 knots. They were close enough at first that I could see their sphere structure, but no lines or dots or ribbing or anything, just opaque globes. They appeared perfectly round and exactly alike. They flew like they were a single unit but I could see space between them. There were no lights or twinkles or anything like that. If I had not been gazing right up there I probably wouldn’t have noticed. They were mostly white but ever so slightly orange tinted. Their coarse looked like due north and about 6 or 7 seconds into the event the formation made a slight but instantaneous course change of about 5 or 6 degrees west. It appeared to be a perfectly angular turn with no perceptible curve. That really blew my mind. I watched and strained to hear a sound as the formation became so dim I could no longer see it. I never heard a sound. It was really dark, visibility was very good, and the moon was just rising behind me. The whole thing was over in about 15 seconds. I know what I saw; I just don’t know what it was I saw. One other thing that occurs to me, if you check out your maps you will see that at that speed and course they would very shortly be over or near Beale Air Force Base, which is a pretty secure base, (SR71 / U2 types).

This post is somewhat similar to my experience. In 1998, I was watching TV (about 30 minutes before darkness fell) when I was suddenly overcome with a very strong feeling I was being watched. I turned my head and looked out the patio door. No one was there. I continued watching TV, and momentarily was again overcome with the same feeling, like I was being watched. I turned my head and looked again, and this time I noticed a faraway *star* in the distance, rather low on the horizon. Something about that *star* made me stare at it. I can't explain why. I was somehow "drawn" to it. I got up and walked out on the patio. It was still light outside (the sky was light blue), but I could clearly see that *star* shining, and it was one that looks much further away than most. There was a large tree outside, and the *star* was about 2 inches to the left of a leafy branch on the tree. As I stared at the *star*, I suddenly realized it was slowly moving to the right, toward the branch. Since the *star* was moving, I thought "ah, it's a satellite." But then, just before the *star* disappeared behind the tree branch, it reversed direction, and started moving slowly back to the left. I said to myself "WhatTha...?" (heh-heh) I watched the *star* as it very slowly moved about 2 inches to the left, then 2 inches back to the right. Then the *star* slowly moved to the right and became obscured behind the tree branch. I ran outside, but, from the ground, couldn't see that part of the sky, due to other trees. Anyway, I firmly believe what I was saw that night was no *star,* but a UFO.
On another occasion, in the summer of 1984, I fell asleep in a chaise lounge outside on the deck. I awoke around 2:00 a.m., and just stared up at the millions of stars in the sky, thinking how cool it would be if I saw a UFO. Suddenly, same as above paragraph, I saw a very distant *star* (extremely tiny and sooo far away) which was moving very slowly in a triangle formation, the size of which was, if you hold up your hand, about the size of the palm of your hand. The minute I noticed it moving, I thought that one was a satellite, too. But when it stopped and changed direction, making a triangle pattern, I said to myself "WhatTha".... I believe that *star* was a UFO, too.

I saw one going to school. Thought it was an airplane but it had no wings it hovered there in the sky. It then moved left, then right then vanished. I was thinking "What just Happened?"

I was a teenager and riding with my dad in his pick-up truck. It was nighttime and we were heading home (we lived in the country, about a hour from any major city). We noticed a red light low in the sky behind us. It seemed to be following our truck. My dad thought it was just an airplane, but then began to think it was a helicopter because it was so low in the sky, and then, when it still stayed with us, we started to get worried.
It finally disappeared, and neither of us saw it leave. Probably was still an airplane or helicopter, but I've always wondered about it.

When I was 3 years old, I slept alone in a full-sized adult bed. Now, a full-sized bed is normally situated with the headboard centered against a wall. However, my bed had been pushed over to within about 12 inches of one wall, leaving just enough room between the side of the bed and the wall for a person to side-step between the bed and the wall, probably so my mother could more easily make the bed.
I realize this thread is about seeing (or hearing) a UFO. However, I believe I saw an alien.
I awoke one morning, and when I opened my eyes, there was a green man who looked just like the jolly green giant in the niblets corn commercials standing in the corner, in the 12-inch space between the bed and the wall. He was just standing there looking down at me. I have always been extremely level-headed -- yes, believe it or not, even at the age of 3. I didn't know what to do, so I closed my eyes, and pretended to be asleep. All I could think of was "he looks just like the jolly green giant." Momentarily I opened my eyes, just in time to see the green man side-stepping between the bed and the wall, and he simply left. I layed in bed for awhile, thinking about the green man who looked like the jolly green giant, and wondering why he was standing in my bedroom looking at me. Shortly thereafter, I got up, but for some reason, I didn't tell anyone in my family about the green man. I felt afraid to tell them, for some reason. But I've never forgotten that green man. I've always felt that he may have been an alien.

I live in a small town, and about twenty years ago I was standing on my deck and heard a humming noise...Looking up I saw something that seemed to be hovering over the town...Apparantly I wasn't the only one who saw it because the next day the local paper said the township police were flooded with calls about the same object...I don't live far from both an a.f. base and an army base, so they passed it off as a plane going to one of these locals....I would like to think it was a ufo, but who knows....

*Sigh* Time to tell the same story that I've been telling for the past eight years.
It was around August of 1998. I had quite the fond interest in extraterrestrials and their technological capabilities, and I had heard stories about them many times. I was interested in that whole government conspiracy thing, even at such a young age. I decided to try to initiate a form of contact with them one day (I was still in the hospital, and I was bored. Go figure, I was eight years old!). I asked "Please, let me see your ship. I really want to see it. I know you're there, and if you found it in your heart to let me see your ship, I'll be forever grateful..."
Night rolled around. I was sitting up in my hospital bed, getting my ventilator (asthma medication). I had a weird feeling to look over to the window, and as I did, I noticed something there that would forever stay in my memory. It was a black, disc-shaped object hovering above the neighbouring hospital. It had different coloured lights ALL around the perimeter, and it was the most fantastic thing that I had ever experienced.
However, child intuition tuned in, and I screamed bloody murder for my nurse. She came in, and could find no evidence of a craft ever being there. No flashing lights, nothing - it was as if nothing had ever happened. I know that I had not dreamed this, because I was talking to that same nurse a few months ago, and asked her about the incident. She had moved to Bermuda since then, and I hadn't seen her in eight years. I asked her different things which could have resulted in that "experience" that I had. I asked her about my oxygen levels, what my symptoms were like at the current time, etc. Just my vital signs.
She said that "everything was normal. You were outside the next day.", which was odd. I remember it, too. The night after, I was telling all of the staff that I could in the hospital about my experience... at least, those that shared a similar interest in the subject.
This next event occurred in September of 2006.
I was outside with my dog, taking him to do his business on the small tree in the lawn area. I had gotten the sudden urge to ask extraterrestrials to let me see their craft, and I even got mad at them. I said "I know you're there, so stop hiding from me!". Well, in my head of course. People would think I needed to be booked into the local asylum if I yelled that out! LOL
But, anyway. After I did that, to the west of my location, I saw a red orb in the sky for a brief moment. It just kind of... made a quick streak in the sky, and disappeared. That was the end of that. There are others, but I'm sure you would probably get bored of hearing them. I hope you enjoyed these ones, at least.

I have three that i'll tell from my own encounters, but i'll just start with the one, and see if you want the other two.
When i was seven in 1972, i was with my adopted brother, in our room playing before bedtime, on a school night. It was when the bluebook goverment goons were covering everything up, by saying they never happened, after elaberate investigation's and making the people who had their sighting's look like liar's. Like the little girl in the ninty's, who even after herself and her family being threatened by more goverment goon's, said bravely on public t.v. that whatever they told her to say, she herself will alway's know what happened. They can't force her to lie to herself. Just remember the agency's who deal with that stuff, are themselve's controlled by those who use the U.F.O's. The human self styled elite no one know's about, the hidden nation.
Anyway, my adopted brothers father was an avid debunker himself, and got some sort of perverse pleasure in destroying us boy's opionions on that stuff.
We where playing with modeling clay people we had made, and had a war in progress on one of our bedrooms windowsills. That window overlooked the hill rd we lived on, we had a clearview of the neighbor's pasture across the road except for the treeline. it was about 7pm in early fall.
My adopted brother said of a sudden, hey, look at it, and he pointed up above the treeline. When i looked, i saw a craft of some sort just hovering, and slowley lowering itself below the treeline. Creature feature was a popular weekly serie's then, and the mysterians had really scared me{i was seven} And some of their show's were just like that, the ship at night lowering down on an unsuspecting neighborhood. I was so happy, proof at last.
We ran into the livingroom and convinced our parent's to go out on the sundeck to at least look, while they were doing that, David and i ran down the decksteps and down the drivway and across the road. We ran into the field just as our neighbors family came walking out of their house to look at it also.
The other family next to us walked over as well. And the rest of our's as well. Most of us were in pajama's and robe's ready to go to bed.
We were all standing in a group looking up at it, it was hovering about 20ft from the ground. It was'nt very large, it had a metallic sheen, and light's that pulsed around the center of the craft. On the bottom was, i'm not kidding, a plate or something that looked sort of like the lost in space propulsion system from the show, it was a circular ring that had light's pulsing around as well. Put two short cups together that begin shallow at the base, and flare near the top, with the cup opening's together, with the central ring of pulsing light holding them together, that's what it looked like.
We were all looking at it and saying thing's to each other as we looked, and then a red light covered us all, and i felt heat, then the ground came up{i fell unconsious} the next morning i woke up in bed feeling really groggy, we had all slept late and were almost late for the bus. So i slipped out of bed and noticed dirt and leaf fragment's from the field the night before at the foot of my bed. I tried to say something then, but my mums pushed me out the door after yelling at me to get dressed.
During school, i mentioned it to my adopted brother, and one of the neighbor boy's, they both looked at me and told me to shut up, that the other boy's dad said not to say anything about it. I was 2yrs younger then the other boy's and did'nt listen, so i told a teacher i thought i could trust and he looked at me as if i was stupid or something. He told me not to talk about it. Disapointed, i did'nt.
When i got back to the bus stop, i could see a green goverment car pulling out of the driveway, there was still a cop there though, and he came over to talk to us kids and said, sometimes people see something and mistake it for something else, my brother and i looked at each other and said in unision, there was a u.f.o last night and we are'nt going to lie about it. He said if we told anymore people then our parents would be in trouble, that the goverment arrested people who claimed to have alien contact, we shut up and went inside. I went to my room to check the dirt and leaf fragment's that had been at the foot of my bed. My mum alway's made me make my own bed, today, she had. It was gone.
The teacher at school was a former goverment scum, and had called the goverment goons.
Like that little girl, they can't make me lie to myself, however they may try to confuse me to fit the story they wanted.

Very interesting story. No government officials told me that what I saw was a weather balloon or anything. Maybe the MiB will come and tell me what I saw was nothing more than swamp gas expressing a magnification of Mars.
Please share the others. That first one was really interesting.

In the fall of 1984 i was in the service stationed at an air defense/artillary base in Kitzigan Germany called Larson barrack's, assigned to the 2/39th F.A. self propelled, Marne division. It was also a Nato site at the time, during the cold war. I was a Pfc then.
I was short, and due to transfer to the 108th field artillary regiment at schoefield barrack's, after i went TDY to jump school at Ft. Benning G.A.
During my last sixty day's in the unit i was in, they automaticly assigned you to the post security officer for gate guard duty. 12hr shift's seven day's a week. It was when i was assigned to secure the back gate for the night. I was smoking, and i did'nt give a shisa about the regs on that during duty hrs. I was still a bit miffed at the prospect of two month's of 12hr shift's without break.
Anyway, i was smoking and looking up at the southwestern skyline. It was then i saw the lead wave of the black triangler fighter type craft, the real one's, not the stealth fighter/bomber decoy for public consumption. They were in wing groups of three. And for 40min i watched them pass going northeast. The whole airgroup was only about 300ft up.
Any other craft i would have heard, not these, they made no sound, not even the sounds atmosphere makes when an object pass's through it, at realitve air speed velocity's. I considered that as i was watching them, then i realized they were going slower then the airspeed required to keep them in the air.
It blew my mind, and i called the on duty sargent at the main gate, and told him what i was seeing, he said he would be right there.
There was a concern because we were at a Nato base, and alway's had the schedules of overflight's. Not these.
When he arrived, there was about ten minutes left of the forty i had mentioned. We just stood there watching them pass. When they were gone, he looked at me, and told me not to talk to anyone about it and would get back to me. I can't repeat what he said when he did get back to me.

Well as a twist, what stories are concocted about someone who has an external reference due to bad LSD trip, where aliens and specters are clearly visible. And this phenomenon is quite frankly accepted, and treatable.
It is genuine belief these things are seen by the sufferer, and they are quite real, to them. Could this minimal effect of drugging (<0.02%) be a methodology of applied reasoning, or did inter-dimensional beings choose to contact someone who was of a higher state of consciousness.
These are the ones who write books of there experience and often try to debunk the debunkers. And often times, will try and lend aid to those who suffer another accepted dilemma; that of torturous abduction. Where those who can re-enter the state of the experience are plagued with what some at least term "false memories".
All things aside, some who would never believe will jump at the mention of abductee, where it is said this phenomenon is now sweeping the nation, in epic proportions.

Any given night I can spot them. They are everywhere. It's usually the triangular ones, but I've seen a couple other types too. They're tricky tricky.

Second was camping. I was peeing outside watching the stars around midnight. Watched one of them move quickly and zig zag back and forth - and it was way up there. That one freaked me out too.
I saw something like this too. I wasn't peeing though. *shrugs* I was a teenager in my parent's livingroom, looking out at the night sky. I too saw one of the stars, zig zagging across the sky. I was freaked by it.

Hello,
I’m new to this site.

Location: Lincoln, CA
Shape: Sphere
This sounds almost like a particular incidenct I remember. This occured back in March of 1998, while living on McGuire AFB. My hubby was TDY at the time, and so I was taking care of two little ones, and working at the same time. One night, my kids wanted to sleep with me, but by the time they were asleep, the were nestled and unmovable in my tiny full size bed, that I decided to go sleep in my daughter's bed in her bedroom. I haf fallen asleep, but remember waking up in the middle of the night, for some strange reason feeling a bit rested and relaxed. Now, on this base, I hear planes flying over housing all the time, so I know what they sound like. It's loud, and takes forever for the sound to die out as they pass over us and away. Plus, even at greater heights, I can hear them. Now, on this night, I lieing in the bed, it's guiet, when I hear a low rumble, coming out from the east. I remember thinking it's too faint to be planes, but low enough that when it did pass over the house, everything in my house rattled. It happened quick too. As soon as it did pass over, the low rumble died away. I also figured it was big, for I could feel the vibrations from beyond my house. Normally, even at night, when I hear something outside, I will grab for my glasses, and get up to look out the window. For some strange reason, I couldn't do it. There was something inside me, telling not to do it. It didn't sound like anything I ever heard before, yet it was quieter, but it rattled everything around me, when it passed over.
It was not until a couple days later, I told the experience to a friend and neighbor, who told me she happened to be up and about that night. She said she heard the low rumble too. She lived a block away, not too far, so when she went to look out the window, she said she saw nothing.
There is a third experience, and this happened a little after the zig zagging star incident. I was still living with my folks, so it was around the mid-eighties. I remember it being a Saturday night, because I remember watching Saturday Night Live with my brother in the family room. All of a sudden the lights went out. Our folks and our sister had already gone to bed, so my brother figured, he would too. We lived in a raised ranch, and my bedroom was the one bedroom downstairs. With all the lights out, I didn't really wanted to be there, so I grabbed a pillow, and a blanket, and went upstairs to the livingroom to sleep on the couch by the big bay window. As I sat there looking out at the dark neighborhood, I realized that this blackout was wide spread. Then I noticed an orange glow among the treetops of my neighborhood. I thought at first it was the moon, but it was too low to be that. Then I noticed that it was moving. It was moving very slow, but moving from East to West. After a while it was out of my sight, which was easy because the neighborhood was nestled in the woods, and the trees blocked my view. Eventually, I did fall asleep. Though, I felt very creeped out while watching the object.

Interesting article about Otis t. Carr. He and his fellows encountered directly what i knew about when i was in the service, about the hidden nation and there theft{and further development} of their invention. The monotary thing is the system of control, of course it would have destroyed it. He was right in that those who rule are nothing but gangsters, who mentally{and physicaly, through their laws} poo poo on the citizens of this country. Their not using the tech to save the world, because they are the one's destroying it. To destroy{whittle down} the current populations who are not a part of the hidden nation.
What we are seeing is literally the end of what we have been led to believe is the world. They have been ready for some time to reshape the world as they wish, and none of us are a part of it, unless they wish to keep you as a slave. They would disguise that word with others of course, but your living would be contingent upon your serving them.
I'm glad that guy wrote the article.

because they are monsters{animals} who have lost their humanity. And are going to make it much worse.

Between me and my ex boyfriend, we have seen three UFOs here in Poway, CA. I recall seeing one a few years ago, I was looking at the moon from my doorway and suddenly I could see a ball of glowing white light moving slowly around the moon, clockwise, and then blending in with the moon, dissapearing completely. My ex, Ruben, recalls seeing one on or after Halloween night last year. It was over a big hill near his house. He describes it as a small craft with a huge flame behind it that moved quickly and dissapeared. Apparently, there were other people who witnessed it as well. A few days ago, he saw a craft with a huge green light and two smaller lights, moving rapidly and dissapearing over the same hill.

Raumati, New Zealand. On the beach I was walking with friends when we saw 2 pink blobs of light flying around, almost intelligently. When my friend came close they just faded. Ive never seen or heard of anything similar again, but I wonder if it was somthing to with the sun hitting the water and reflecting it or somthing, I dunno. But in any case, its unidentified, and it flew, so it was a UFO. If anyone knows what it might have been please tell me.

In case anyone cares, I have a long-time interest in the paranoral springing from prolonged and varied personal experience. The aspects of paranormal that I have little interest in are UFOs, unknown animals, demons, Chupacabras, Bigfoot, Megalodon, etc, and crop-circles. Unknown lake/sea serpents comes a close fourth.
However, I have had one or two isolated UFO experiences over the years. The blandest, yet most clear-cut sighting occured when I was walking the dog early one winter morning near the end of our rural road here in southen Ontario, that was about six years ago. I had stopped to (pointlessly, and for no particular reason) stare up for a moment at a small star cluster (perhaps 'The Little Dipper'). After a few seconds, one of the 'stars' in the cluster detached itself and whipped around in a rapid looping trajectory to a new location in the same cluster. I kept my gaze on the cluster and nothing else happened for a moment, then the star shot off at incredible speed towards the horizon at about 45 degrees to my left and disappeared into the surface clutter.
The abberant 'star' was just the usual pinprick of yellowish light, indistinguishable from stars of comparable brightness. The show was over very quickly and I was left open-mouthed wondering what I had actually witnessed.
With minimal evidential facts to ponder I vaguely wondered, did I just happen to stand absently viewing that particular star cluster at the very moment the 'thing' chose to shift position and fly off, or did my unwavering gaze lead it to suppose itself exposed as an imposter as it feigned rightful membership of that star cluster. In fact I had not suspected anything amiss until the actual event, I know as much about astronomy as I do about knitting, so I would be quite incapable of identifying any supernumerary (or missing) star, should this occur.
In retrospect it did seem vaguely indicative of intelligent direction that the star placed itself so accurately and convincingly within a star cluster (as seen from a viewing-point on planet earth), when, after all, much of the night sky is simply black space between star groups and numberous isolated stars, and it could as well have chosen to rest anywhere.
I diligently reported the sighting to an online UFO reporting centre and later received a phone call soliciting further information. I did (naively) ask whether sightings such as mine had ever been reported before. I was told this kind of report is very common, but that there is no concensus as to what the pseudo-star was or what its purpose.

That one freaked me out too.
wth? your sightings are exactly identical to mine!
I saw the zig zaging one before the metallic ball though.
The zig zag had multiple colors and was sort of shaped like a comet. and the ball was gold and yes the size of a minivan or so.
I am stunned. I cant believe someone else has seen the same things I have.

Neat stories! The one that was reported in Lincoln, Ca. was especially interesting because I used to live in Pleasant Grove, Ca. which is really close by there. ( PODUNK!! lol) I never saw one there though. My first one was in Newark, Ca. and I was in my bed where I was looking out the window. It was on the 2nd floor. I saw quite far away, 3 little white lights "dancing around" in the sky. I started to be afraid since I had heard of a bunch of sightings in the area recently. ( I used to be terrified of ufo's) I was afraid, but couldn't take my eyes off of them. Then, they slowed down, got into a triangular formation and slowly but suddenly, above them, a series of lights started appearing and formed a large circle. Then the smaller ones just zipped straight up and into the middle of the "craft", and poof, they all just dissapeared. The second one was almost a surreal experience. I was walking with a friend back to my house at about midnight or so, and to our left, above a field hoovering and drifting slowly.. at the pace of our walking, was a globe shaped thing that was glowing goldish yellow as if from the inside. It was totally silent and so close, I could have hit it with a rock. I'd say it was hoovering only about 5 to 7 feet above the ground and was roughly the size of two VW Beetles if you put them wheels to wheels to make a circle. We both noticed it at the same time and asked each other, what is that? The oddest thing is neither of us were afraid. It was as if we were getting telepathic messages to not fear, but even more than that because it should have made me run away like a track star, leaving a trail of my bodily fluids along the way. It was actually mildly fascinating to us. The next thing I remember is waking up the next morning in my bed and my friend was sleeping on the couch. We didn't talk about it to each other which was odd as well. I am still scratching my head over that one.

A few years ago, my brother said he woke up in the middle of the night because there were some lights flashing through the door (see thru, glass door) and he said he saw a kinda big UFO in the backyard, just sitting there. He said there were different colored lights flashing. I don't think it was just a dream, because the next day there was a big black circle in the grass in the backyard.

Oh yeah, I also seen something a couple years ago. We were going on a trip, so it was out in the country area while driving, and I saw a kinda big shiny, silver thing in the sky. It was flying fairly slow, then went behind a small cloud, and I didnt see it come back out. It just went behind the cloud and that was the last time I seen it. Im sure it wasnt a plane, it wasnt the shape of a plane. It was somewhat circular or spherical. It could've been a UFO, it could've been a weather balloon (which is probably the most likely case), or something else.
