Hello, all. This is my first topic, though I've been hanging out here for two or three years now.
About one month ago I was outside smoking a cigarette (I recently quit!) and my eyes were drawn to a cloud. Nothing spectacular about it persay, but it seemed "dense" for lack of a better word, as if wind or storms could not tear it apart. Furthermore, it seemed to almost possess a sort of glow, silver in nature. So, needless to say, it caught my attention, I stepped further into the yard and admired it for a good minute or two thinking nothing more than it was a beautiful formation. After enjoying its unusual beauty (I can't explain it, but from the first second I saw it, it seemed out of place) I spun around for a minute and knocked some ashes off the ciggy before turning around almost instantly to look at my cloud again. It was gone. Completely.
I walked all over the backyard looking for traces of it but there were none. Furthermore, the clouds that surrounded it reamined unmoved outside of their slow crawls. From all I can tell it simply vanished. I have no theories as to what it was and simply choose to accept it as proof that the world is full of wild and amazing things. What I would like to know, though, is if anyone else has encountered this? I scoured these pages for a while but found nothing.
So, anyone else seen a cloud that struck your fancy, seemed out place, only to have it vanish? I have no doubt of what I saw, but your input is always nice as it doesn't make me feel quite so silly.
Cheers!
