I once heard that this underworld kingpin actually worked for the Fedz, giving them lesser bust in
exchange for his freedom. Has anyone ever heard a story, read a book, or seen a movie about this?

I did read the book Contract Killer which was written by a mob hit man who later "ratted" in which he mentions that Luciano was a snitch, but doesn't go into details.
