Oh, I heard about this a few days ago. Very creepy how everyting was left the way it was, even with food still on the table as if they were about to eat.

Drunken sailors decided to take a dip maybe? Who knows. Very strange indeed.

You would have thought that they would have left at least
one person aboard the boat though...
Somethings fishy about this.... (couldnt help myself...)

That is strange, but I think you'd be jumping to conclusions to fast if you assume it is a result of paranormal phenomenon.

I read about this a few days ago; it was on a bunch of news sites.
Very Mary Celeste, isn't it?

Odd, and somewhat credible, given that it was reported by CNN. Can't say for sure with the limited evidence and descriptions given by police and coast guard officials(who, undoubtedly, haven't released all the information) what happened, but the sail being torn up would indicate bad weather of some sort...or maybe debris.........possibly a water-spout or something of that nature.....but all the electronic equipment being on and in working order and the food being set-out would contradict anything overly destructive....just not enough info to say at this time.

I remember seeing this report. I have no idea, it's funky, I'll give it that.

I did read in the newspapper that landing bouys ( there bright orange bouys that are put over the side of a ship for when another ship comes along side and prevents the two ships hitting each ( there on the over side of the boat in that photo )) had been put over the side. So it looks like they had company at some point. Strange that they still havent been heard from.
Modern day pirates ?

Yeah, I agree with Strider. My money would be on some type of pirates, even though there weren't reports of any signs of struggle. Maybe it began as a casual, two ships meeting on an ocean thing, which lead to a surprise attack. Who knows? I'll make sure to keep an eye on this story though, for sure.
