We have mulching blades on our lawn mower, so today we mowed our lawn for the first time, in the new season. And are planting flowers for a new Bee Hives project we'll initiate near the forest that surrounds our home.

We watched Real Time with Bill Maher recently and in his closing he said the worlds Bee's are dying. And that means a compromise in the natural pollination of many of our food crops, and other pollen dependent species like wild herbs, wild flowers and much more. And also what's disrupting Bee population are cell phones. Who's electromagnetic fields disrupt Bee navigation, confusing them and knocking them out of the air. So they're not able to pollinate in high traffic area's or cell tower cites. A visual, along with electric lines, that span the horizon of most major population area's, growing more expansive by the year.

So we're going to raise Bee's, starting small with just two hives starting before mid-summer. It's not that populated here as yet, so it may help make a difference, for awhile. linked-image

I'm going through my stuff to see if I have any glass cutting impliments.. and then something to smooth the cut glass. Got some old bottles that I'ma make into glasses, and going to see about making a few empty rum bottles into windchimes.

Also got a new rosemerry plant to put on the porch with my other plants.

Might get another plant later today. (but then again, I'm always trying to get plants *snickers*

I thought bees made their own hives.

I'm going through all of my camping/survival gear and doing repairs, cleaning and organizing. It's the first really warm day that I've had off work this spring,so it's the first time I've been able to set up my tents and get them cleaned up and ready for the camping season.

Other than that...I'm just spending a good amount of the day outside and enjoying the warm weather.

Later this evening I'll be looking for some new camping and Dutch Oven recipes online...since I finally have an appropriate Dutch Oven to use this year at camp.

Wild Bee's do make their own hive. What I was referring to are the kept bee's, as it were. Bee hive

I have just spent thousands of dollars installing charcoal filters on my cattle to reduce their methane emissions.

I'm not killing any small woodlands creatures today.

It's a start, isn't it?

Yes it is! I'd say at the very least the squirrels are sending you a high five.

Then their scampering their little fuzzy butts far far away, in case you be changing your mind tomorrow! tongue.gif laugh.gif

Not to mention the rep you already enjoy with the chipmunks. rofl.gif

Mmm...squirrel...*drool* thumbsup.gif

A stew made with venison, rabbit and squirrel sounds really good right now.

I'll have to see if I can find a good recipe for that.

I'm going to burn plastic original.gif

No... really, I am going to.

No... I won't but I am going to recycle everything I possibly can and clean up my neighborhood. You know for such a small community, there is random trash everywhere. Mainly from my trashy hick neighbors.

Nah, me and the chipmunks are cool. I agreed not to kill them and they built a statue of me. The bunny rabbits on the other hand........
