Okey i'm not sure if this was just my nana's nicotene patch's or what but recently she got real ill and had to go into hospital, my nana is afraid of dying and came pretty close to it. She wouldn't stay at the hospital by herself because these things kept chasing her. One night i was staying at the hospital with her and she'd just drift of to sleep only to jerk awake and look scaredly around her, it was lyk she was looking right through me, i just said to her it's ok nana i'm here go bak to sleep. She went bak to sleep only to jerk awake scared again, this time saying where are they they just pulled something out of my her and flung it across the room, i was lyk no they didn't nana and she was lyk " ohh, they keep chasing me", really terrified. I asked her who was chasing her and she said these little blak shadowy things and have been for the last couple of nights.
This must of happened about 5-6 times where she'd just drift of and jerk awake petrified, anyway the nurses said it was happening because of the nicotene patch's that my nana had to wear and they were giving her bad dreams, but i don't no. I eventually got sick and worried of my nana waking up like this so i sat there and just looked around her, in my mind i told what eva it was that was bugging my nana to f### of and leave her alone, i must of sat there for about 5 minutes just forcfully thinking and trying to push away wateva my nana was seeing. The funny thing is after i told the little blak shadows to get lost and what not my nana didn't wake once and slept through the hole night and not only that she hasn't seen them since. So was it the nicotene patch's and hullucination or what...

That is actually very intereting. I have never heard of that before. I don't think that the nicotene patches would cause her to see things, it most likely was her imagination. She is a bit shaken up to be in the hospital I bet, and thoughts are running through her head. Glad to hear that there not around her anymore though, great job. wink2.gif

You didn't say why she was in the hospital or what was wrong but trust me, the meds they give you in the hospital can make you see some strange things. And not just pain meds either. Lots of medications combined with sickness can make you hallucinate.

Sounds to me like some kind of reaction to medication, because the minute she closed her eyes, she woke right up with the visual hallucinations. If the patch is too strong, it can cause headache, rapid heart beat and things of that nature, but not hallucinations normally. How is she doing now?

Yes, it sounds like some sort of reaction to a specific or a combination of chemicals found inside meds. I do not believe it was really demons or ghosts or other beings, but if they were, good job!

I sometimes wake up in the middle of the nights and my arm goes into a swing punch, like self defense, I think this is because of nightmares, which I dont remember when waking up, but my mind already told my arm to defend myself.
The point is that maybe unlike me, your nana remembers her bad dreams, and as she jerks awake, you are seeing her self defense, and she is able to tell you what her dream included.

Hope you understand what I mean. thumbsup.gif

reminds me of the end of "Ghost", little black shadows attacking the dude when he died.

Anesthesia (sp?) will cause hallucinations. I saw huuuge rats on the floor and heard whispers in my ears for two days afterwards... its' pretty creepy experience if you have a reaction to it. I'm not saying that is what it was, im saying it could be a possbility.

She was in hospital because she was breathing something in but not back out and apparantley this is caused by to much smoking so if she did not stop she would die as her body is poisoning itself. Before she went into hospital she would just drift of to sleep anywhere, like she could be in the middle of the club and she'd just fall asleep, and we wouldn't be able to wake her. I can't remember what it's called but my mates mother recently died of the same thing only when she got out of hospital she did not give up smoking and that is why she passed away. The nurses said it was the nicotene patch's that was causing her to see and feel these things, i don't no i've never heard of patch's doing this to people.

It sounds like your nana has emphysema. her lungs retain c02, and limits the o2 to the brain as well as sending co2 to the brain as well. I have this myself, oxygen deprivation can cause a severe state of confusion, and nicotine patches can cause very vivid dreams, combine the two and i can see the effects being as you described. ( even a heavy smoker is not ingesting nicotine while sleeping, with the patch however they are obsorbing nicotine 24/7)
