I was once told by a relative that if you watch the sun just as it sets on an ocean horizon there will appear a green flash; well, in the two times that I have observed an ocean sunset I have not seen any green flash. Has anyone here ever observed such a thing?

These references state that these occur rarely with a general sunset which I wasn't aware of. As I mentioned this is suppose to occur with an ocean sunset as it was related to me. The two times I watched for this were in California and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico years ago, but no flash. sad.gif
