QUOTE(Wikipedia)
Chupacabra (also chupacabras) is a cryptid said to inhabit parts of both of the Americas. It is associated particularly with Puerto Rico (where it was first reported), Mexico, and the United States, especially in the latter's Latin American communities. The name translates literally from the Spanish as "goat sucker". It comes from the creature's reported habit of attacking and drinking the blood of livestock, especially goats. Physical descriptions of the creature vary. Eye-witness sightings began in Puerto Rico in the early 1990s, and have since been reported as far north as Maine, and as far south as Chile. Though some argue that the chupacabras may be real creatures, mainstream scientists and experts generally contend that the chupacabra is a legendary creature, or a type of urban legend. It is supposedly a heavy creature, the size of a small bear, with a row of spines reaching from the neck to the base of the tail.

Never heard of the famous goat sucker? It would be interesting if it was true especially if it was caught alive, not dead. But I haven't seen or heard anything about it yet, so until then I'll treat it as an urban legend.

No, for if it was it would be in the news and declared a new species.

Considering how it's been in the past, it would be on the news and pictures would be taken and people would speculate about how it's certainly not a dog (or a fox, or something along those lines) before DNA samples tested at some research institute or university would prove it to be just a dog with a bad case of mange. Then people would continue to claim that it was an actual Chupcabra, citing that the "DNA-samples" obviously were just a part of a major plot to keep the existence of such unknown creatures hidden (either because they are aliens or something like that).

True story. :3

True story that happens too often sadly.

I've never heard of the Chupacubra but by coincidence I saw an episode of the program, 'Is It Real?' on NatGeo last night.
They featured the 'Chupacubra' and eventually, they came to the conclusion that there just wasn't any evidence to prove it existed......A self-described expert presented plaster casts of alleged pawprints but an expert on animal pawprints declared them as fake.

Also the only physical evidence was a carcass which was taken to a university for examination. Apparently, a farmer had shot and killed an alleged chupacubra attacking his sheep at night. He found the carcass days later on his property and took it in. The scientists there performing the tests concluded that it was just a wild dog !! Interestingly enough, when they held a media conference, the media and public refused to believe that there wasn't a chupacubra after all !!!

There has never been any photographic/video nor physical evidence to support it's existence......Just eyewitness accounts, as always.......

someone set up a trip wire in a chiicken cage, put the chicken inside some explosive proof see though container, then add a trip wire at the door, put a few mines around it and hope to god the chupa comes, because if it doesnt you gonna have trouble getting the chicken out, and removing the mines would take a while, or if you prefer, put a trip wire attached to a triger of a shotgun, now dont forget if it doesnt come to step over it when removing it lol.

I had heard a story that a Chupa was caught, varying from Brazil to Puerto Rico to Mexico City. Some of these stories had the following accompanying photograph as "evidence":

The story and the photo are fake, that's a still from a photographic exhibition entitled "In a Matter of Days":

Oh god that picture you posted has always haunted me. I saw it in a magazine when I was 9 and since then I see it in my nightmares. I think it was of a Chupacabra sculptured in a museum somewhere on Puerto Rico, or something. Can't remember. The picture is so scary though, ugh-- wants my blood, that freaky thing--.
Mr Ed
I think it is abundantly clear that these things do not exist.

The fact that they have been 'sighted' for around 100 years is revealing. For all this time and all these sightings- meaning that there must be a decent population of these 'creatures' and yet not one body or corpse has been found? Impossible.

This is just one of many reasons...
~Onyx~
It wouldn't be the first thing that was found dead and nekkid in Brazil.
