Biological telpathy in regards to Humans and Animals.

There is a a great video I found on googlevideo that provides enormous scientific evidence for Telepathy and Precognition.

The reason this sparked my interest was that it seems to provide scientific evidence for the soul, and the existence of counciousness outside physical reality.
It also potentially explains things like prayer which is emotionally charged thought energy. The experiments dealing with precogniton also made me ask questions about fundamental reality and our limited concept of time. The implications of this research in the scientific and spiritual sense are huge.

The movie is a bit over an hour long, and was shot rather poorly at times. I would also ask please don't post in this thread unless you have actually watched the whole thing.

I'm afraid that is a concept that is ill suited for this particular forum as closed mindedness reigns here .....but I am going to hang in the wings and test my powers of precognition to predict some of the replies you will receive......B

HEY, VENOM! Welcome back, little buddy. I've been telling people for years that telepathy would explain why God hears silent prayers. xians won't even listen to this type of reasoning, and atheist simply refuse to accept it. Those of us born with even moderate psychic ability, however, take it almost for granted. Good luck with this topic.

Well, I'm no xian, so I can't speak for those closed-minded folks.

Me, I am a Christian, though, and I not only believe in psychic power, I have seen it in use personally.

I believe that the way we view it is not how it is originally intended to be viewed. Being a Christian, I am aware of both sides of the coin (good and evil), and that those non-human forces on the side of evil will misuse and pervert things of God for their own twisted benefit, thus the reason that it is warned against as a mainstay of the lifestyle in the Bible.

I believe the original aspects of psychic power are a gift from God, and I am with you on believing that they are the means by which He does what He does. They are viewed as supernatural powers by us, because He is in command of them and holds them in His hand. Because they are His to give, we covet the "power" that can be had by magnifying their natural use. We are like to Him, the more we magnify this aspect of our being, or so we imagine. I think that the overuse of psychic power is akin to the overuse of alcohol. It is something that becomes purely harmful and negative when used for the wrong reasons.

I simply believe that psychic ability is one aspect of the nature that God gave us. However, the negative part comes into play because we have learned how to misuse it, and also how to make it too much a part of our lives, which affords the enemy entrance into our hearts. As does, too much alcohol used for the wrong reason, and many other things misused, etc...

This will be a fun thread. I very, very rarely touch on this subject on UM, but I do have convictions on this subject in general and hope yall will welcome my interactions with you here. I may see it in a different way than most of you do, but I am intensely fascinated with it, and I do not dismiss it.

While I won't deny the possibility of what your suggesting, I do believe since Telepathy is a naturally occuring phenomenon, it actually negates the need for a {Judeo-Chrisitan} like God to hear prayer. Since telepathy works even between animals at the fundamental level, and we all know animals don't pray, it is reasonable to assume that mayby human beings thought forms actually have more power to influence people and things than they relized. Since telepathy is a naturally ocurring phenomenon, using morphogenetic fields and possibly quantum entanglment, focused thought telepathy (like prayer) could potentially bring about results without the need for a Judeo-Christian God like entity answering.

LOL!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I know that, I was being smart, and being dry about it. That's just my way, sometimes. Sometimes I'm right out there with humor, and sometimes I'll make you wonder about me. I am a woman, and that is my prerogative.

Random, that was meant jokingly possibly, but that actually brings up an interesting point. People who are very familiar with each other do have a higher chance of being able to actually pick up on one's another thoughts, dependent on natural ability of each person and how much they exercise it, whether knowingly or not.

Although, most of what we call "picking up," is really just the subconscious awareness of someone else's patterns of behavior, learned through observation and predicted based on that input. That being said, there are times when it's more than the little computer of the mind analyzing observed behavior in the other person and spitting out the most probable reaction. There are times that it really is telepathy.

I also wanted to say that I do believe that psychic powers are clearly the way that we communicate with God. Someone said that, and I agree. One-time shots of especially clear telepathy are used as a means of communicating especially important things by God, I believe; and that is regardless of the person's natural ability level and whether they have even been aware of the existence of it or not. The opening is always there, it is just one of the ways that God uses to communicate to people individually when He sees a usefulness for it. And many, many times it is used of God to talk to people and they are not even aware of it.

Those that seek relationship with Him are often aware of it, though, we call it hearing His voice.

this is a good post....in her defense of saying she is not an xian, i believe she is saying that she is a Christian in the sense that she does not x out the name of Christ, just as i and many others say...i would also say that i am not xian... but i am a believer in Christ (Christian) not a believer in xian...

She also noted that telepathy is a gift from God, which i also believe....the same gift was universal among living creatures both great and small...but we need to decide do we speak to and through God for the betterment of all concerned or go directly to the end user to find out we have interferred in somone's life to their possible detriment...as we all know, man will corrupt any gift in order to have power and control others...this is the problem...power corrupts....this is why God made prayer available to us, so that we could help others through Him.
