Have y'all ever stopped to wonder why the popularity of ghost has occured over the last few years. It seems now everyone has a ghost story or an orb photo or a great ecto photo. I too am interested in ghost but I have to wonder why it has become such a popular hobby so to speak. Do we want them interacting with us or is it just the mystery of the unknown and we're trying to work through our questions and skeptisim.

I'm a very open minded person when it comes to ghost and hauntings I do believe they exsist. In fact my husband and I have experienced some odd happenings around our house and some sightings out of the corner of our eye that causes your hair to stand up on the back of your neck and give you chills and make you ask what was that. We've also been picking up on orbs in a handfull of photos and just the other day I caught something new on film. It doesn't scare us or even bother us so much that we may or may not have a spirit or two;) but when the touchable lamp comes on in the middle of the night and your sound asleep and know you didn't turn the lamp on or when your laying in bed and your the only one in the room yet you swear someone just bumped into the foot of the bed causing a little shake to make you think oh my I'm not going to look you can't help but wonder if someone else might be hanging around with you.

I mean think about it if you were let's say deceased wouldn't you want to hang around here with the living all the activity being with your loved one's anyone would want to be able to come back and "visit" anyway they possibly can just to say hey I'm ok I'm here. Think back to the times some people have passed away the world is a much more active exciting place than it was 50 years ago or even 10 years ago. They don't want to miss out on anything so they've come back to enjoy a good time and throw in a few surprises.

At the same time I have to wonder what really keeps these ghost hunters in business anyway who can we trust can we trust the ghost hunters or will the ghost themselves tell us in there own way that they are present. I don't think you need all the ghostly equipment to capture a ghost on film I personally feel that is just another market trying to make a buck or two. I think if their out there they'll let us know.

Anyway, just my two cents on the whole thing. Oh don't worry I won't give up I'd love to catch something other than a orb on film so I'm still trying of course my husband has told me that if we ever catch a ghostly face or figure on film we're moving. Happy hunting

Hi theunknown welcome to the forum thumbsup.gif

Why do people have an interest in Ghosts, well I'd say it's wanting to find out about the unknown. This is the same sort of thing that used to fuel scientists many many years ago. This is how it is for me, ever since I was a kid I'd been interested in how things work and why things happen.

Mind you I also think there is a very strong tendancy to use ghosts as an explanation for any unusual occurances as opposed to the far simpler and more mundane explanations (your average orb photo for example).

I dont have to wonder if ghost are real i know they are see I lived in a haunted house I use to live with my grandparents and the 18 years i stayed there i always felt a creepy kinda feeling it didnt help that we lived beside the largest graveyard in my little town, but one night i was asleep in my room when something started to choke the life out of me ive felt so overwhelmed before in my life. after that i night i started getting more and more studies of ghost and haunting and found that a little old woman use to live in my old house. So really I dont have to wonder if ghost are real i know they are from personal exp.

btw welcome to the Forum im new as well and i love this place
