Is this the one about the boy sleeping down in basement of old funeral home with cancer, or is it another one?

I saw one a week or so ago "a haunting in Florida" it was good to, I believe it to be the one where the baby is haunted.. it's somewhere on video on this site, but it was a very interesting case... anyway.

OMG Thats a "Haunting in CT" if thats what you meant. I enjoyed that movie, but that Mother really annoyed me. With that HUGE house, she put her two boys, one with Cancer in a cold basement, and never believed him, or his brother. DAHH!! LOL

WOW Never saw that. Not sure where you live, but right now on Travel Channel they are showing hauntings in Atchinson KS, where "Sallies House" took place..Why am I watching these shows? LOL unsure.gif

WOW I agree, that was amazing. I guess I enjoy "A Hauting" on Discovery because they are true stories. They refuse to let the real people act in that, for fear of something coming back into their lives..

Yea, she put him in the darn basement and he only had "six months to live" at that time. That doesn't make sense to me... and those kids friggin out all the time, and she STILLL wouldn't believe them, after she had went thru the experiences herself too.... Strange, that her son would win the battle over the cancer I thought, he was that close to death... That sort of caught my attention.

That bothered me terribly plus she had him committed even tho the doctor said it was not hallucinations due to medicine? She didnt believe him or his brother. She slept comfortably in her bed while her dying son is in a cold basement? I loved the movie but she really ticked me off, how dumb was she? The house was HUGE..Why put kids in basement, knowing it was once a funeral home? daaah..He was cured due to Chemo etc. As you know, he spoke at the end and said that he will never forget it, and never wants to talk about it again. Mommy dearest said she felt guilty, she SHOULD OMG..She should have believed him when he said if he goes away "they are next."..She is not the brightest person from what I could tell, either was the father. GRRRRR

cancer? i thought they put him in a mental hospital, because the ghost's were driving him crazy, but his parent's thought he was losing his mind. is that where the home was an old funeral parlor?

From what I hear, they are going to make a motion picture out of this story and have cast Virginia Madsen as the mother. Personally, I'm not too sure about their story and the way the parents acted borders on abuse. I don't understand sticking your terminally ill son in a basement where they used to embalm bodies, forcing him to face his own mortality. Then, when they become so terrified that they won't sleep w/o the light on, the father takes away the light bulbs because the electric bill is too high? What is that? I believe the Warrens were also involved in this. Whenever they come into anything, it instantly makes me doubt.

Hopefully, the movie will be good though, I'm sure they are going to write their own interpretation of the events.
