This is something that I cannot really explain it. During certain periods of time we'll say about months I'll get these feeling that comewith the time period. For example around july I got a gta sa video game for my birthday and there was a certain smell to the guide book now everytime I smell the inside of that book I get the feeling of that time period. certain sounds smells and places trigger these feeling of certain time periods. soemtimes these feeling are good and other times bad. The bottom line is that usauly there are sights smells sounds and settings that come with certain time periods and when your are out side the time perios you look back. And by looking back I mean you hear the sounds that come with that time period you have a flash back of that time a deja vu. And sometimes when I hear certain sounds I get feeling of time periods that I hav never experienced maybe past lives. If I have had any past livesthere is a good chance there just variations of my life for example me only living some other place like temecula orange county la and thats it. Whichmakes snce because Im not the type of person that would like to go outside of certain parts a ca. Because thats just me. Anyway Im asking anyone outthere to relate so I don't feel like a total nutcase.

I believe your mind is just playing... finding old memories... there is nothing wrong with this.
Kazuma
The sense of smell is supposed to be the strongest link to memory. This sounds normal.

I often miss old girlfriends when I smell their shampoos or perfumes.

Heh, yeah. Smell is a pretty strong link to memory, like Kazuma said.

Thats why I wear my boyfriends jacket alot. Smells just like him. wub.gif

You're fine - the human brain has an amazing affinity for patterns, sometimes to the point of creating ones where none really exists (but that's a different topic entirely wink2.gif ). Point is, most folks associate their experiences with physical phenomena - time of year, scents, sounds, etc. Those related phenomena can then, in turn, activate our memory of the experience. By way of example, I went to a music festival a couple of years back with friends, and had one of the best weekends ever. A week or two ago, I put in a CD of one of the bands that had played the festival, and immediately felt myself vividly drawn back to the experience of that weekend, right down to how it felt and smelled.

Cheers,
