Transformers - a solid 10/10, fun movie.
Part of me is kind of like.. ok there are a couple nitpicks with this and I can see why people might say stuff about it.. Such as Megatron only been in it for like the last 20 minutes.. Sometimes the action seems too up close and you can't quite depect who it is or what is exactly happening.. Half of the 'bots seeming to dissapear in the fight.. little things like that.
But part of me says this is quite possibly one of the best things I've ever seen. I mean it is just a fun movie... You know, it's robots that can transform into vehicles and thats it.. it doesn't really pretend to be anything more than that. Michael Bay delivers. The opening sequence with Blackout flying up to the army base is great and a lot of the action is top notch. Just seeing them in excellent CGI up on the big screen and hearing Optimus Prime speak.. it's just.. great. And the story is good too imo.
The term 'fun popcorn movie' gets thrown around too much. It's almost used as an excuse to cover for films that are crap.. you know, but there is bad popcorn and good popcorn and Transformers is great popcorn. That's all I can say really.. It's just a fun movie with top notch action.

I hadn't watched 'The Simpsons' on TV in years, mostly because I was bored with the repetitive episodes, but I checked out the movie, for free on-line, and I laughed my butt off the entire way through. 10/10. Complete hilarity.

Live Free or Die Hard - 6/10 Good action really cheesy and cliche, has a crappy name, could have just called it Die Hard 4 but noooo, of course it's called Die Hard 4.0 here....but that not the point lol
Pathfinder - 3/10 Worst movie i've seen in a really long time, would have gotten a higher rating, but i don't think it was meant to be a comedy.
Simpsons Movie - 8 1/2/10 I was expecting to be as bad as the latest seasons but it was actaully funny and original like the old episodes used to be, would have gotten a higher rating if more classic characters were used, like Skinner and Mr. Burns

They don't have to have plots... just appear to do so.
So that everyone was like "... that movie, I really didn't get. So it must have been a really intelligent movie" or such.
Its just a ploy.

Saw 3 - - - - - 6.5/10
I really didn't enjoy watching this movie.
To me, it seemed like the authors said "how can we shock as many people in as little time as possible".
I thought the scene with the limb twisting just went to far.
In fact, I don't even want to think about it.
So I shan't.

I didn't think that Jigsaw had a daughter....

Anyway, this is the one where Jigsaw (or John, I suppose) kidnaps a doctor and forced her to attempt to cure him, while keeping a man trapped with a series of challenges.
Its nasty stuff.
I suppose, that if you are into gore, you would enjoy it.
But, if you want a plot...look elsewhere.

Yeah, she was pretty much one of the essential characters in the film - it was all about her. But she isn't related to John, just works with him etc.
Pirates... was going downhill since the second.

In the first version you really felt that Willy Wonka did own his company and was looking for an hier but the second version, I felt Willy was a snotty-nose tour guide and not all too sincere in looking for an heir.
It goes to show that you cannot mess with a classic.

I just got back from seeing the Halloween remake. 1/10.
The only redeeming quality this had, was that I actually got my money back, so to speak. I got two passes to come back and watch another movie.
Now, I think I will go upstairs and watch the original. That was a 9/10. I guess I like the older scary movies better, I am so tired of the ruthless, mindless "torture Porn" genre.

Well they are gonna remake it.. Todd MacFarlane (Spawn and various comics) and Warner Bros are gonna bring a new version to the big screen. It is unclear if MacFarlane will direct or not yet but he had this to say,
"My pitch was ‘How do we get people who went to ‘Lord of the Rings’ to embrace this?’. I want to create (an interpretation) that has a 2007 wow factor. You’ve still got Dorothy trapped in an odd place, but she’s much closer to the Ripley from ‘Alien’ than a helpless singing girl."
You know as classic as the movie is, it's not exactly like the book. The book was quite dark while it still had an innocence to it.. the movie completely brightned it up.
I have nothing against doing a remake of 'Oz' (as opposed to maybe something like Great Escape or Cassablanca).. Because while it is considered a classic, it's based on a book and I think it would be cool to see a different interpretation, especially now it's been 60+ years later I for one wouldn't mind seeing a darker.. sort of horror style version.
The same goes for Alice in Wonderland.. A more darker, horror style version would be really cool. Just think of all the twisted things you could do.. And they actually are - based on the computer game American McGees Alice (which follows this idea) into a movie staring Sarah Michelle Geller
