Juno, 10/10.

Honest to blog?

I'd give it a 5/10...mostly because it was kind of boring and unrealistic.

Day Watch

Anton (Konstantin Khabensky) finds himself in the middle of a mythic conflict between the forces of Light and Dark in this sequel to Night Watch, the surprise 2004 hit from Russia. To protect his son, who has come under the control of the dark side, Anton must seek an ancient artifact. But the powerful relic threatens to upset the uneasy peace between the two sides and puts Moscow at risk for a devastating cataclysm in this supernatural thriller.

Easier to follow having watched Night Watch. I enjoyed it , but not as much as Night Watch.

Night at the Museum

Chaos reigns at the natural history museum when night watchman Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) accidentally stirs up an ancient curse, awakening Attila the Hun, an army of gladiators, a T. rex and other exhibits. Larry tries desperately to keep marauding Neanderthals and Mayans in check, fighting a losing battle until President Teddy Roosevelt (Robin Williams) comes to the rescue. Owen Wilson and Dick Van Dyke co-star in this family-friendly fantasy.

I really enjoyed it ! Sure it wasn't the greatest but I got to lose myself in it enough to just let myself enjoy it for what it was.

Vacancy (2007)

A young couple (Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson) stranded at an isolated hotel are shocked to find that their room is wired with video equipment -- but their anger turns to terror when they realize that they may become the star attractions in a snuff film. As the two struggle to escape, they find evidence that the murderous filmmakers have been producing these twisted movies for quite some time. Frank Whaley also stars.

I was let down. I guess I expected more.

I saw I Am Legend last night.

It was such a huge snore it put me into a coma sometime in the first half--I frickin' fell asleep. I doubt I'll go back and try to watch the ending. Terrible flick, I'll give it a 3/10.

aaaaaaawwwww I was kinda looking forward to seeing that = I still will eventually ! but I have seen you have good taste in films sooooooooooo......

I might do that seeing how most have deemed it a smeller. lol

I just put Stardust in my Queue and have just watched From Beyond. I think From Beyond, although one of my favorite horror sci fi movies is still better caught on tv when you least expect it.

What utter crap i some parts were good but 90% percent of the movie was crap boring and a waste of film. Comes close to being as bad as Blair witch

the monster is some mutated fish it has a tail and two long front legs that look like they are twisted inside out or something. Pinscer like jaws lined with teeth big eyes and what looks like air pockets on the sides of its mouth like frogs have

my advice wait for the DVD

aflac duck
The Orphanage 10/10!!!! probably one of the best horror/suspense movies I've seen in a long time. It is a little slow in the beginning, but picks up soon after when spolier~*~*~*~*~*~simon disappears from the party~*~*~*~*~*~ You can read about it on wikipedia. it is mentioned that there will be an american remake. I don't see the point to an american remake! it was only release last year. I think many people are just too lazy to read subtitles and would rather see well known american actors play the part than foreign actors.

Saw 4 - 5/10 ok
Why did I get married - 2/10 there was a few funny parts the rest was blah

Charlie Wilson's War

1/10

Does every scene have to end in some stupid punch line?
MissMelsWell
Last movie I saw was "Enchanted" with Susan Sarandon and Patrick Dempsy. I'll give it a 6/10. It was a cute classic fairy tale and a couple of the lines of dialog did make me chuckle.

Not too shabby for a kids movie. (I think the two grown guys (late 30's) I was watching it with got a bigger chuckle out of it than I did... I teased 'em all night about it. LOL)

^Overrated in my opinion.

Good action flick, sure. But not as good as everyone says.
Harriet Reed
Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium

3/10 - totally painful to watch apart from the speech Dustin Hoffman makes about death. The kids make you want to barf, Natalie Portman gives a truly disheartening performance and the running time time leaves you wishing you'd bought the old noose along.

Jumper - 2/10 ugh just like I expected

I was actually thinking it would be good but it failed
Atheist God
Rambo 4: 8/10

I give this movie an 8, this movie was actually pretty good. The action was surprisingly realistic and there was a lot of it too, the acting was fairly decent although I wished the plot could have been stronger. All in all not a bad action flick either.

Cloverfield: 7/10

Not a bad movie and certainly better then the horrible Dragon Wars movie that came out of Korea last year. The monster was cool and the first person experience added realism to the movie. Wished they showed more of the monster however.

Jumper: 2/10

I gave the movie a 2 because it had potential... This potential was ruined by Anakin Skywalkers robotic acting, and a poor script.

Sweeney Todd- The Demon Barber of Fleet Street: 10/10

I normally don't do the screenplay/musical thing but this is a must for any Depp/Burton fans for sure. Stayed faithful to the original play and incredibly graphic at times especially when he dumps the bodies into the cellar.

This is quite possibly one of the best movies that will come out this year.

Day of the Dead: 2/10 (Not yet released)

This movie was pretty bad guys... possibly even worse then Jumper.

The zombies not only could run incredibly fast but hopped around like frogs leaping like 10 feet in the air and climbed the walls like Spider-Man. This movie could have been a good film like Dawn of the Dead was but it was spoiled by a horrible go nowhere plot, bad acting, horrible script and lame jokes as well.

Even the most hardcore zombie movie fans will be at odds with this one.

Run fat boy run 4/10 hardly funny hardly worth it the four points are to hank azaiar (i dont know his last name he does the voice of moe on the simpsons) DAMN his body is hot

Meet the spartans 2/10 like most comical movies all the funny bits are in the trailer allthough the brangelina thing made me laugh cause its true and the wookie mamma joke was funny cause its also so true
~TheBigK~
Aw, I was hoping Run Fatboy Run would be good. I've been looking forward to it cause I'm a Simon Pegg fan.

Semi-Pro - 6/10 It was funny, but I didn't think it was much different from any other Will Ferrell movie. Anchorman will always be the funniest to me anyway.

Sweeney Todd - 9/10 I'm a big fan of the Depp/Burton dynamic. Not only that but Alan Rickman. He's amazing. So is Helena Bonham Carter, so I just thought it was an all around great cast and they were all great. I loved the over the top and theatrical blood, as well as all of the songs. I bought the soundtrack. thumbsup.gif

I see Jumper is NOT a smash with UMers...I saw it too and I'm certain I could have spent my 1.5 hours doing something else, like organizing my socks. It looked really good in the trailers but turns out, those were the only decent parts. It was an interesting story but the movie probably would have ended up being 4 hours long if it took the time to explain everything. It's a shame, Diane Lane is a fine actress and she was completely wasted in this movie. 3/10 and I might forgive Sam Jackson for being in this movie.
clover
Southland Tales - 7/10
Freedom Writers - 8/10
Eagle vs Shark - 6/10
The Simpsons Movie - 4/10
The Ultimate Gift - 2/10
There Will be Blood - 10/10 Daniel day was amazing
The Science of Sleep - 6/10
The Brothers Solomon - 5/10
A Mighty Heart - 9/10
BiffSplitkins

Reign Over Me - 9/10
Not what you'd expect from the movie cast. Amazing movie.
Affliction
Chasing Amy 7/10

I really enjoyed this, I had seen it before a few years ago but had forgotten some of it's stronger points, I really liked that it felt very authentic and real and it actually had a moral to the story which wasn't an overdone cliche.

he is in star trek you know which makes me doubt the credability of that movie

The Other Boleyn Girl 7/10 inaccurate and to disneyised but still a nice movie 5 of those points go to eric bana how hot is he (the real henry was a fat balding idiot but hey)

Death defying acts 5/10 not that good actually although guy pearce was hot which was the only thing that kept me in the theatre

Death proof ( ijust saw for the first time on dvd) 1/10 the only good bit was the car crashes otherwise a full of sh** movie that i had to fast forward through to get to the good bits

Children of Men 9.5/10

The one major problem I have with the movie is that it is unessacarly slow in the first half of the movie, and its takes a long time to stitch together the backstory...

I loved the whole idea of it, and the final 15 minutes or so, espically the scene where theo leads the mother and child out of the building is magical.....
when.i.am.queen.
I'd only give THERE WILL BE BLOOD a 6/10.

I found it long winded, plotless, meandering and, especially in the end, slightly non-sensical.

However, it is also entierly possible that I didn't "get" it.

In The Name of the King - 0/10 Please be warned about the utter crap of this movie!!! - It made it's ranks with Highlander 2 and Battlefield Earth. It's a clearly plagerised verison of LOTR's 'Two Towers' with minor differences to make it a different story. Characters didn't even match up in their parts for their skills. By the looks of the actors and actresses, whoever showed up in random order got the job without question. It was painful to watch as also the idiot that filmed and edited the parts didn't have a clue what the hell he was doing. So there are flashes of black, missing entire parts of dialogue (not that it really mattered) and the acting (again, not as if it really mattered). For what storyline that they did have, it didn't matter because they never explained what it meant or why it mattered. Probably the best part of the movie was a 20 second sword fighting scene. That does not excuse this movie at all to even get a 1 in my book.

Again, be warned and don't waste your life.

I just watched Treasure Hunters with Nicholas Cage. Twas fun to watch........ And they fully stunted the bad guys.

I now.... would like to see the Declaration of Independance with my own two eyes.

It's name is Uwe Bowel.

It has a habit of taking perfectly respectable game franchises and killing them on the big screen.

But NOTK was his last "big budget" because publishers are not willing to lend out their material. Watch for Castelvania and Prince of Persia (which will feature a REAL persian (iran) prince as the lead character, these might be among the few good game > movie projects.
Cryptoman
Horton Hears a Who!

surprisingly, 8.5/10

I thought it was really good. The animation was stunning, the voice acting was really good, and it had a very good message. Unlike the other Dr. Seuss movies, this is a full on re-telling of the story instead of an adpatation. What I mean is that they did not need to add anything else to the story to make it as long as they needed too, unlike the others (I don't know how to word it exactly).

The movie is good for the whole family, a lot of stuff for the kids but enough jokes that adults will like too. Plus the ending is very funny (in my opinion). Trust me, it is worth to go see in theaters.
