my art is very erotic, hugely inspired by giger's visions of a post-industrial world of the future where biomechanical beings rule. please understand that these pictures are not porn, and so should be allowed to remain in this thread. i have written alot of text to accompany my art and i'll post them here soon. more drawings of a non-erotic nature to come tomorrow.

It's interesting. You can definately see where the influence from Giger comes from.

Interesting, Ashiene. yes.gif I like your artwork. Do you have any drawings to which you've added color?

Indeed, a mix between H.R Giger and Picasso original.gif Very nice tho, it's original enough to not call it a copy of either Giger or Picasso's work thumbsup.gif I like to see more of this!

Kind of disturbing, but if you are using Giger as an influence, I would expect them to be.

i dont add color to my drawings- i prefer a black and white picture. these are all traditional pencil-on-paper drawings. anyway heres more as ive promised. thx for the encouraging comments:

i hope to follow giger's footsteps and be one of his greatest followers ever! i have 4 of his books, including the 2 necronomicons and im constantly trying out new drawing and shading techniques, but recently i made a breakthrough in my art when i discovered that the key to a nice picture is to let my art have a life of its own. many times i dont plan before i draw. i just begin with the first curve or line or stroke and let my imagination guide me to completion.

Keep up the good work!! I really like these!!!!

Hi Ashiene:

"thx for the encouraging comments:"

Well, you should be encouraged because your work is good. yes.gif I like that it is very detailed, and you are a very patient lady to be able to do this kind of work.

Yes, I think some types of artwork look better in black & white. Do you ever name your pieces of artwork? The reason I ask is that the left side of the first drawing of your last post looks like an alien embryo.

Keep up the good work, and I hope you will post more of your artwork.

I think there real good ! Am i right in thinking that Giger did the "aliens" movies etc.? If he did then i can definitely see where its comes from, i think that interlocking type of style would lend its self well to tattoos as well.
Ashiene
yep he designed alien and creature in Species, plus alot others

Those are cool pics.

I stumbled on HR Giger web page by mistake one day, had no idea who he was then realized that he designed Alien character from the movie among other works.
The mans artwork totally blew me away. thumbsup.gif

By looking at some of your other pics, I think the parts that would fit in are the scythes, and the mantis abdomen and legs. Feel free to add a mechanical touch as well if you want. grin2.gif

(Btw, can you PM me who is in your avatar? Is she a model, a singer, an actress, or what? original.gif )
chaoszerg
The one with wings resembles a Zerg Mutalsik a little.

I have the strange feeling she is going to turn out be be a Japanese porn star.

That would fall under "Actress." tongue.gif I'm fine with it either way.

These are very cool. Your work has a sort of hieroglyphic quality to it that really adds to the bio/mechanical contrast. I think you're onto something fairly unique here, keep it up!

if ur wondering, the 5 symbols in the middle represent the letters H-U-M-A-N. its a real language im developing for my novel. it has 300 words in the vocabulary at the moment with a completed symbolic alphabet and grammer/sentence construction tables.

Well, still detailed and unique.
Did you put aside the Mantis hybrid or is she a work in progress? thumbsup.gif
(Note, that there is no real obligation to even get started on her in the first place. So no worries. =)

your artwork is very interesting. what is it.

my artwork is based loosely on the novel im writing now. its about my visions of the future 14,000 years from now. here's some text i've written to complement my artwork.

In the distant future, females dominate all of human society, their bodies having everything that is needed to raise and feed a child. The male gender has been almost wiped out, their task of impregnating the opposite sex substituted by machines. Genetically engineered to perfection, the females represent the technological advances of a post-human world governed by cyberspace, and populated with the vast network of cold steel, thick wires, and emotionless artificial intelligences.

I call these female creatures ‘Feminoids’, a fusion of biological and mechanical origins. They may seem fragile and weak at first sight, but they are the deadly results of an advanced human civilization driven by artificial evolution. Their beauty, part natural, part artificial, is stunning to behold. They are creatures of envy. Their flawless, fair, almost-white complexions are the result of the lack of exposure to the outside world, which has become frozen by an eternal winter.

The Feminoids live solitary lives in the midst of a vast array of machinery that feeds them, sustains them, and gives them what a biological mate can no longer provide. Nano-bots that run in their bloodstream constantly grow new machinery in their bodies and repair damaged organs.

Feminoids do not have arms or legs. These limbs are no longer necessary in a world where machines aid the post-human beings in almost every way. Only the most useful parts of the female body are preserved in each Feminoid.

They consist of: The head, which houses the brain, which is backed by a super-computer. The female breasts, ever providing the nourishing milk that would feed a child, augmented to increase milk production and storage capacity. And lastly, the womb, which would be seeded by machinery in the form of steel and plastic tubes. Artificial and mechanical ones have replaced other important organs like the heart.

In this future world, males are near extinct. Advances in science have made the artificial production of sperm possible. Females reign supreme in all aspects of post-human society. The black polished steel of towering skyscrapers, and the white skins of their inhabitants are the only two colors in this dark, cold world devoid of much life.

Emotions such as compassion and love are non-existent. There is no fear, no hatred. Death is but a dream, immortality within grasp. The Feminoids are slowly becoming the very machines that they have merged themselves with. Surrounded by machinery, these techno-organic beings do not move much; instead, they remain in the same position for years at a stretch.

Over the course of each biomechanoid’s life, it will be immersed in a virtual reality that is very much unlike the real world. In this enormous, computer-generated world, post-human minds and machine intelligences interact freely with one another. This virtual reality is the only comfort in a world ravaged by the excesses of technology. Food and other sustenance are injected directly into their bodies while they roam this artificial plane of existence.

As the planet is stripped of its resources and polluted by the fumes of this futuristic age, humanity cannot remain on it for long. First, robotic probes are sent to scout the galaxy. Then, slowly, massive Seed-ships housing generations of biomechanoids are built in Earth’s orbit by millions of robots. Each completed vessel is then sent to roam the mysterious ocean of deep space, seeking out new worlds to colonize and populate. On board these vast ships, the beings are silent, frozen in cryo-sleep. They would remain like this for possibly hundreds of years; the only sounds emanating from the ship are the hum of its great engines and the rumble of shifting mechanisms echoing through the metal behemoth.
