The thing is that MOST not all Christinas belive technology will be the worlds end. I ahve Christians walk up all the time and say. " You cant be on science and Gods side." I just respond " God gave man mind to do great things." People say cancer is gods way of punishment, i say God is helping scientist find a cure. Im always open-minded and will never juge it is not my place. Plz share ur veiws.

Can't say I've ever met someone who has claimed that.

I've heard worse dontgetit.gif.

I think anyone who is truly 'realistic' knows that not all christians are backwards in ways of thinking. They're normal people just like everyone else.

Actually, most Christians probably believe science and Christianity are compatible. The fundies who think the world is only six thousand years old, Noah's flood really covered the whole earth, and that he collected all the animals, no evolution, etc are in the minority. There are scientists that are Christians and Jews who have written interesting book showing that with the right translations, the Bible supports evolution and and earth billions of years old, references to dinosaurs, etc.

The fundies only destroy the credibility of Christianity with their child-like, fairy tale interpretations of the Bible, which seem to be based on the arrogance that humans could not have evolved from earlier life forms.

I believe in creation not evolution. It has nothing to do with arrogance. I have strong faith in God so I do believe his book and in it he says he created the planet and everything on it. I however do not believe the earth is 6,000 years old. God says a day is as a thousand to him so when he said he created the world in 6 days he did not mean actual 6 days. Thats what I beleive. Now if you and other believe you came from monkeys or something that slithered out of the sea thats fine. But dont call me and other arrogant because we do not.

What you choose to believe is your business and I don't think your arrogant because of it but I do think your misinformed about what evolution is about. However this is not the thread to discuss it in ,so I'll leave it there
