SOURCE Farscape World

As if you needed me to do so, I can indeed add to all the confirmations you've been hearing lately about the rumours and say that yes, a four hour Farscape mini series is currently being worked on, with plans to wrap up the story that was left as a cliffhanger after the show's cancellation at the end of season four.

Filming is scheduled to begin in December, and as of now, it's assumed that most, if not all, the key actors in the series will return to reprise their roles.

And that's it. That's as much as I'll say. While we will of course post this all over the site and any other details that may be relevant, as always we'll be waiting to do so until Henson make an official announcement, as we have always done. Until the "i"s are dotted and "t"s crossed, that will not happen. As you will probably know, a press conference was scheduled, then postponed, then rescheduled, then postponed indefinitely. We feel it's important to wait for Henson to make an announcement before running away with details.

By now it's been heavily hinted at by most of the cast and crew, be it regarding whether they'll reprise their roles in the near future, or for series creator Rockne O'Bannon to say at the Burbank 2003 Official Convention that if ever there was a time to read between the lines of what was being said, it's now (and also adding that he should be at home writing "hour three" - you'll find more when we post our full convention coverage). But it's unlikely you'll find us posting any other details until Henson formally announce the mini series or confirm the details.

With all that said, every 'scaper who has lifted a finger to do something to help the show since it was cancelled, be it writing a letter or donating money to Save Farscape, deserves a huge pat on the back and round of applause for making this happen. Without the massive fan outcry after the show was cancelled, this wouldn't have happened. Without an organised campaign, this wouldn't have happened. Without sustained support, this wouldn't have happened. Honestly, every Farscape fan that has done anything, big or small, to help, deserves credit for helping make this happen.

It truly is awesome. A formal announcement from Henson should come soon. We've waited this long, a bit longer won't hurt. And we can all now keep working on promoting Farscape as much as possible to drum up support for when it returns, because if the mini series is successful, anything could happen.

You can read what TV Guide had to say about the news at their website.

Finally, many thanks to everyone who sent me e-mails about this at various websites. Of course, I was in the USA at the convention so couldn't read any, so I haven't replied personally to them (it would've taken all day). But nonetheless, thanks. Your e-mails about news are always appreciated.

Brill....

Am I right in thinking the last episode showed Crichton & Aeryn getting blown up whilst sitting in a boat???????????????

If that was the last one then there are definately some loose ends to tie up.
