Hello my name is James

for quite awhile now i have been reading different things about travel/meditation and have attempted them aswell.

i have been able to lucid dream quite a few times, and meditate aswell but thats not what im here for.

I recently tried to Astral Travel and i dont really know what happend to me at all, I was laying on my back imagining i was standing in the corner of my room (projected) looking back at myself. after awhile, of this i started to feel a tug at my leg... and then i could tell something was happening because my heart rate was climbing 'rapidly', i still kept the projection going and i felt as if i was vibrating/floating/sliding? to where i projected myself in the room.. im trying hard to remember what happend while it is still somewhat fresh in my mind... anyway, i was sliding across and my body kind of felt numb i can say although i knew i was still there i felt like i wasn't.. although this is the QEUSTION, when i was experiencing this my HEART RATE kept going up and up to an extremely fast rate (one which i'v never experienced with physical workouts) although i wasn't scared at all and felt completely normal? WHAT HAPPENED and how can i STOP THIS to go further??

Hey Cini, welcome to UM. This exact same thing happened to me and I never tried it since cause it gave me quite a scare. But your heart goes so fast that you end up gettin scared that you're gonna have a heart attack or something along thoes lines. I think that even though you don't think you're scared you might actually be, I mean think of it, you're leaving your physical body and there's always something in the back of your mind the first few times saying, "what happens if I don't get back in"? So after a while of just plain ol getting used to it, that'll stop I assume. Maybe I will try again sometime, after I see what you have to say about it tongue.gif

welcome again,

Gene

i've also try to project myself but i didn't feel that heartbeat thing what i feel is my body is vibrating and i can feel that its near for me to live my body but i was scared which makes it stop actually i really want to stop it
as of know i had a hard time to do those things again i cannot do it again
except that there is a possibility that i project myself again accidentally
