LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- "Battlestar Galactica" is returning as a four-hour miniseries, backed by hype befitting a science fiction classic in the same galaxy as "Star Wars" or "Star Trek."

Never mind that this classic was a campy space opera that lasted just one season.

I remember this program from when I was a kid. Wiggy… wiggy… wiggy (the little round robot, that hung around the neck of the other).

It was a all time classic, bad acting, rubbish special effects, and poor storyline, but I loved it! Will wait till I have seen the new one before I judge though!

Yes, that was Buck Rogers. The round thingy was Dr. Theopolous. I forget what the short, silver robot's name was, but "Wiggy wiggy wiggy," or "Biddy biddy biddy" was the sound it made.

Battlestar Galactica had the robot dog, or daggit, Muffy. Boxy's replacement pet.

The robot's name was Twiggy, and I don't know why I remember that because I hated that show. disgust.gif The voice over was done by Mel Blanc (Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam, etc.)

It was Twikki, not Twiggy. Twiggy was a skinny model of the 60's. original.gif

I watched the new BSG and really liked it. If it becomes a series, I'll probably watch it. This is about the only remake of a 60's/70's show that I have liked to date.

I am looking forward to seeing this new Battlestar Galactica. The concept of the original series was an excellent one, but the stories were just the same old, unimaginative rubbish that have graced so many sci-fi programmes over the years.

Does anyone know when we will get to see this in the UK ?
