Hi all,

Firstly I would like to say great site, and it seems to have a fair balance between believers and skeptics, personally myself fall between the 2 if thats possible I want to believe in paranormal activity, but have not seen anything, until recently.

About 3 weeks ago, I have not seen anything strange until then I started to see things out of the corner of my eye such as orange flashes, dark objects and shapes, at first I thought it was time for my Glasses to be changed so went to the optician and got my eyes checked out, but that came back clear by that my eyes have not deteriorated that I need new glasses.

This has still continued, not neccessarily in the same place, but this last weekend something happened which scared the living c**p out of me, I was with my wife at a friends house , with 6 other ppl, I was sat adjacent to the living room doorway, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw what can only be described as a large human shape coming slowly down the stairs , it was enough for me to actually turn my head towards it, but when I looked there was nothing there, I got up went to the doorway, I knew all my friends were with us in the living room, so it was not any of them, but in my opinion there was definately something there, it creeped me out but I did not tell my friends as I don't want to appear crazy.

If any of you can shed any light on what has happened please tell me

Hiya! I think that I can give you an answer but I don't know if you will like it. My sister had a similar experience a while ago. She kept seeing things out of the corner of her eye and would turn to look, but when she looked she only saw the end of something. She did a lot of research and discovered that there are spirits that like to "hang around" to ensure the safety of people. Like a guardian angel. This experience happened while she was pregnant and has not happened since.

My experience was when I was about nine years old and my mother and step-father were fighting. I had had a really rough day and had gotten in trouble for something stupid. I saw an image of someone in the corner of my room looking at me and smiling. It vanished and I have not see it since, but I felt better when the spirit or whatever it was left. I like to think of mine as my father checking in on us and telling us that everything will be alright.

This is also one of my theories. The things at the corner of your vision are your guardian angels. We notice them more when we're children because when we grow up we don't need them any more, or we have just lost them.
