Hi Guys I'm new here, I really need some help! Myself and my daughter had near enough the same dream last night, the part that was the same was there was this really mean old man with white hair, dungarees and red/orange t-shirt on who was throwing live rabbits into a freezer and leaving them for dead, but then I saved them and my daughter said she did exactly the same in her dream! Is it bad luck to have the same dream? What does this mean?

grateful to anyone who can shed some light

Thanks.

It could just be a coincidence. But most likely it was influenced by the same thing. Maybe you both saw something similar on TV or heard about something similar. It's also possible that while you two were discussing, your memory of the dream changed.

Hi, well I can't think of anything that we both watched together yesterday that could have influenced really, probably is a coincidence but I've never had a dream with something in it the same as someone else on the same night before, I should add that prior to sleeping, my little girl heard noises before she went to sleep, the only thing that we both watched together yesterday was a kids progamme? We were riding to this place on a robotic elephant/cat thing, a ghost was driving the contraption and we fell asleep and ended up at this evil place!

Rabbit spirit guides denote creativity so if a rabbit appears it means that this is a very creative time for you both.
The fact that someone is trying to stuff the rabbits in the freezer suggests that someone is trying to "freeze you out" of something.
The 2 rabbits in the dream co-incide with you and your daughter.
Are you and your daughter talking about doing something creative?
you and your daughter may be alternatively moving through fear and strengthening your intuitions and could fortell receiving hidden teachings and intuitive messages.

I also had a dream that was the same as my husband's on the same night. There were subtle differences that were amusing considering our different personalities. This was too similar to be simply a coincidence. (I have talked about this dream in another thread, so I won't go into details.) I doubt it had anything to do with something we both saw, since we usually watch different TV programs in the evening. I think it could be the result of meshing brainwaves or even a message being sent. I still haven't decided.

Thanks to all replies, personally I am very creative as is my daughter but we haven't talked about doing anything creative together that I can think of. What kind of hidden messages? The only fear we both seem to share really is the fact that our home appears to be haunted, we both fear certain rooms. My neighbour has a rabbit, don't know if that has anything to do with it either, maybe we should do something creative together. happy.gif

btw I think the ghost in our home is my late Grandfather whose sofa we have here. If that is relevant at all.

Thanks for all comments, has been most helpful,

I think maybe you and your daughter have the same ability of Clairvoyance through dreams. You may have been seeing an event that was going to happen in the future. Since you and your daughter had the same dream, it could've been a dream of a past life which you two may have shared.

Who knows what it means? It may not mean anything. The dream could have been inspired by some movie you both watched. Who knows where dreams come from? I have had some dreams I thought were telling me something and some that were just strange. The ones I thought were telling me something I tried to determine what they meaned. I don't know if I was right or wrong. You can interpret dreams to mean all sorts of things. You can find dream dictionaries online. They're supposed to help people determine the meanings of their dreams. I could link you to a sight that has a dream dictionary, if you think that would help you.

"Coincidence" is just a word people use when two events appear linked, but the cause isn't known. It's basically a circular answer. "What caused this coincidence? Coincidence!" "What caused this unknown link between two apparently unrelated events? An unknown link between two apparently unrelated events!" Not real helpful.

Furthermore, nobody is in a position to tell you how likely a prosaic cause (like having seen the same thing on TV) is versus some nontrivial cause (like ESP or spirit communication or whatever). That's because nobody knows how frequently either one occurs.

If you and your daughter saw the same guy doing the same thing in the same dream on the same night, maybe it's the guy who's haunting your house trying to show you something. I've heard that it happens. You could investigate the idea and see if anything turns up. Or you could try ignoring it rather than investigating, and if weird things keep happening, it might be fair to guess that someone is trying to get your attention.

It could be that simple. Or it could be that you'll never know what caused the coincidence. Or somewhere in between.

I'd be interested to know what has led you to think of your place as haunted. I also wonder how old your daughter is. Could be relevant.

Clues all through this one. In fact, you gave the answer away. Your grandfather is telling you something. Is it cold in the winter where you live? And in the winter, what happens to the rabbit? Your grandfather may have killed a few rabbits when he was surviving in the winter. Are you vegetarian?

But why was it that very day that you dreamed about rabbits? Is it the day when your grandfather was born or passed away. Or something special?

hi and thanks for all replies, my daughter is 9 years old, my Grandfather passed in July a couple of years ago. We don't have any rabbits, just one cat. To answer the question about why we think we may be haunted is the fact we have heard sounds, could just be because it's an old house, walls etc. it's the only time it has happened so I'll try not to read anything into it. I'll put it down to coincidence, yes I am vegetarian, so is my little girl. There is nothing on TV that could have brought it on, the only animal thing I watched that disturbed me was something on You Tube but my daughter did not see that. By the way, yes it gets very cold in here in the winter, also my girl drew a picture of the place, looked like a cross between a big house and a prison, the rabbits were all locked in the cells and she said in the end my brother killed the man and we got the keys and set all the rabbits free.

It could be that you and your daughter have a very strong 'mental' connection, and that either one of you tapped into the other's dream. I've got an extremely strong connection with my mum, and although we never dreamed the same thing, it often happens that we literally think the same thing, and read each other's thoughts, to the point that it's ridiculous.
And, if one of you has a nightmare, strong emotions are involved. The dream in itself might have not that much significance, other than being a nightmare.

BTW, I've got a long history of rabbit-nightmares. -Don't laugh now! In all sorts of degrees & variations, they always involve myself suddenly realizing that I forgot to look after my rabbit, that I left it in it's cage without food & water for a long time, then the horror that I must go and look what happened to it. And I find a rotted, hideous carcass, or an emaciated, half mummified creature, barely alive. In some dreams it is neglected & threatened in other ways, and I fail to protect it. You might think it's funny, reading this, but I can't describe the horror involved.

Interestingly, over past few years, the 'drama' has lessened, and I often find my rabbit alive & well. But I still have no clue what it stands for. Something vulnerable & dependent within me that I am neglecting? My best guess.

Hi, thats interesting. We are very close, more so probably because it's always been just me and her and our pets since she was born, her dad didn't stick around although he does see her from time to time. She's also my best friend who I love more than anything in the world, so you have something there.
