Okies hi all Id like to know peoples opinion about this. SERIOUS opinion IE no "your mom is crazy" or "She made it up" type of thing. She has told the truth and till this day remembers it in vivid details. She refuses to talk about it though. Ive only gotten to get her to talk about this event a few times in the past. She just wont discuss it.
OK let me first start. My mom has a history of "ufo" incidents weather this is related or not I dont know. Im a firm believer in the paranormal but also a skeptic IE I wont claim things. I have several theories about this event and im curious to see what others think.
OK mom is from a catholic family. So what she was told is probably not at all what she say anyways.
Anyways mom is from a very small rural town of like 200 people. She was about 4 or so. The family was sitting on the balcony in the summer when all the sudden mom walks off into the mountain. My grand ma (her mom) was like hey!!! where are you going????? mom who was like I said 4 then was very confused. She told her mom this while pointing to the mountain "Im following you, your over there!" grand ma was like no.. im here... mom was like no!! your there to!!!! This is what mom's description of the event is. A lady well her "mom" keep in mind though it may not have looked excatly like her mom to a small child simularies are hard to distinquish. Anyways a lady dressed ALL in white who had long brown hair that looked just like her mom (or close to her) was standing on the bath in the mountain beaconing my mom to follow her into the mountain. Mom says the lady had some sorta shiney stuff around her. Not light not sure what maybe aura. Mom was very insistent to her mom tat she had to follow her. Grand ma had to go grab her cause mom was running off into the mountain to follow the lady. NO one else saw the lady and my mom till this day is rather traumatized. and no she never had imaginary friends. Mom described it all to her family and since they are catholic they said she saw the virgin mary. Now I 100% believe mom saw what she say but I dont really believe its the "Virgin mary", Neither does my mother to be honest.
any ideas on what she may have seen? and I do mean serious ideas.

Hello PixieMischief
I too saw an apparition of a lady dressed in all white when I was at home faking to be sick. I wrote about it in this forum as well. While I was doing the dishes I saw a lady in all white and when I turned my head away for a quick couple of seconds she was gone. Mine as well did emit some kind of aura that really made her look so pure, it was very beautiful. Till this day I have no idea what this experience meant but I know what I saw. Though my apparition didn't signal me to come follow her, I followed her on my own will, I would never go outside just to check out a female, but something about her made me forget all about the safety of myself and my house, I literally jumped out the house just to check where she had went, but there was no sign of her, it was impossible for someone to vanish that quick in such a time frame of 3-5 seconds. I too would like to know what does a lady in white mean, as this experience sticks in my head.
Anyways if anyone got any ideas please share!

ONE of my theories especially since mom has a background with UFOs is that what she saw was a alien putting a image of themselves in her mind via thelepathy. would explain why no one else saw. Also common sense is that theyd make themselves look like someone the child knows so to be less traumatizing. I mean can you imagine if a 4 year old had a vision of a gray or something? could very well also be a nordic alien being and what she saw really was its form and not faking the imagine.
the fact that no one else could see makes me think it was projected into her mind. But wat?? still could be a spirit... could be ALOT of things. I honestly have no idea. I very much doubt it was the virgin mary though like my whole family other then my mom thinks though. Fact being im pagan and dont really believe in bible sorta ruins that theory.
What you describe sounds alot like what my mom saw. at least her description of it.

Maybe she just saw an actual woman in white and wanted to go with her. Her eyesight was better than the adults and they didn't see her.

I don't have any ideas yet, but I do have a question. Did your mother ever have another experience or was this the only one?

I'm sure it means something...but I can't think what. Possibly a messenger? Did anything big happen after not long after she saw the Lady in white?

i beleive she saw something, and even if the adults eyesight was slightly worse, white is one of the easiest colours to pick up in the dark (we used to have a golden retriever and he was white and gold very easy to see.). and im sure there was some moonlight. and seriously how many lady's walk around in full white and have a glow around them. (how many lady's have a glow around them ? lol)

I'm sorry but that bit had me cracking up. I mean really? They thought that was the explanation?
Too funny.
Now, on to the whole story - if you have ever read into the various accounts of abductees, you will find instances (many) where some kind of entity shows itself in another guise to the person (abductee). Sometimes the alleged alien would appear as a deer, and owl etc. Sometimes they would appear as humanoid figures (but with large eyes or at least something about the eyes - that was the feature that linked much of the figures). Typically, these figures would encourage the person to follow them.
Whether this was for an abduction or not depends on the instance.
In some of the cases, the other people in the house or location would not have seen the figure. The only witness was the person themself. It is as if the abducters want to get the abductee on their own before whisking them away by whatever means. Makes sense really - separate the victim from the herd.
Now, as well as this, many of the historical accounts of abduction of children by the little folk have many similarities with the general gist of abductions above. A young child would see something/someone friendly who would beckon them to follow them.
It has been speculated that the little folk and aliens (especially the greys) are one in the same.
My question is did your mother ever mention anyting about the eyes of this feminine figure?
