I do declare, the most terrifying beaste of old would have to be the newfangled Duracel Bunny. He just keeps going...but to where and to what ends?
...
I still say he's freaky.

scariest? big foot. I like camping and hate to think of that around in the dark. it's bad enough there are bears which are more scary. ( why I go camping armed.) the scariest are red necks.
and it's funny Rosie has so many men insecure.

The absolute scariest cryptid.. I'm not sure... The Jersey Devil is hella scary. Although, I can think of scarier.. I've never heard a reliable story about it actually killing somone... Besides, I think it's far more of an infernal being, then a "Hidden Animal". Same goes with the Mothman...
The Beast of Gevaudan.. Is incredibly freaky.. I mean, entire villages were abandoned.. And it has to have the highest casualty count of any single cryptid in history, unless you believe in say, the Tarrasque.. But, I don't think I giant lion headed, turtle shelled, fire-breathing beast would classify as a "Cryptid" even IF it was real. But.. The beast of Gevaudan.. Whatever it was, it existed, and did a good job at massacreing the locals.
But, other creepy cryptids... Well, do the coyotes around my house count? I mean.. They don't howl, they don't yowl, and they don't bark.. They gurgle, and scream, and make something that's very reminscent to the famous "laugh" from the Genesis song Mama... do something that can be best described as "Wargle, yug-eek-warg-whrreeeooo-Marr, aaaack... kweh" and uh.. honestly, it's a might bit disturbing.
Actually, on that note, scariest creature on God's green earth... is a rabbit. I mean.. The sound they make when one screams out in pain.. Just like a child... and to hear it echo across the forest in the dead of night.. is truly disturbing...

I know it's not a cryptid, but how scary would it be seeing this outside your window?

P.S, Werewolf rapist was the funniest thing I've heard all day.
Yea big red eyes staring out at me from the dark creep me out so much, as with strange sounds or going-ons coming from the woods - trees crashing in your direction or your dog barking ferociously into the darkness. I also don't like the feeling that something large could come up and get you while you are swimming in water where your feet don't touch the ground, especially murky water.

I don't like swimming in lakes and whatnot because you never know what could be down there.

well, for me it'd be one i've seen. the creepiest creature i've ever seen would have to be well, for lack of a better word, a werewolf. 2 of my guy friends and i were driving around late at night and where i live there's the ocean and forests pretty much, and lots of farms, and we were driving through this one area near some farm lands and talkng when suddenly this really tall animal runs across the road. it was on it's hind legs, which where like a dogs, but different in a way, and it had a gray/brown color to it's fur. we all noticed it at the same exact time, i saw these red lights, the reflection of it's eyes, kind of floating across the road, and as i was saying, "did you guys-" my friend in the back seat what saying, "what the fu-" and the driver's eyes got huge. and suddenly, it was gone. it was so weird, it was running, but it wasn't like it was running FROM anything or anywhere, it was just getting from point a to point b. i was so scared, but, not at the same time, because i didn't get the feeling we were at risk, to it, we didn't matter, we didn't exist to it. i still get goosebumpy talking about this, and it was over a year ago. it's something that'll be with me for the rest of my life whether others beleive me or not.

The maryland goatman. I got really scared of it especially after looking at the satanic pentagram well.

How about the Thing at Berkeley Square? That was a really creepy story especially the sounds that it supposedly made.

I think the scariest depiction of a cryptid was that chupacabra picture that was supposedly real. The one with him showing off his pearly whites in a menacing growl.

The shiney black-skinned creatures with yellow eyes are my drinkin' buddies, that also goes for werewolves (not the raping-ones though, but that line was FUNNY on the first page XD) and some demons. The only thing that scares me is completely illogical and full of the question "why".
Leperchauns. And no I never even saw that crappy old hollywood movie. Just.. leperchauns. Maybe I'm afraid of whatever invisible thing keeps touching the back of my head... 0_0 I think its my guardian, but my energy is drained so you never know....

What is the scarriest cryptid? thats easy, they are a type of parasite that cling to you and won't let go until you are so poor that cou can't afford anything. You all know what I'm talking about. for those who don't Lawyers. also that rabbit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Most scariest hmm I don't consider any scary although if I happen to see one I would imagine that I might be a little bit frightened. Possible that I would be I'm saying If I had no ammo on me
But my fav/scariest pic If I had to would be The Jersey Devil.
