And I can't remember their names to look them up. I also know about the chupracabra (sp?). Thanks for your help.

Darn, you got there first. AmericanMonsters.com is one of the better sites for cryptozoology, in my opinion. But here are some books that you might want to try to find:
Mysterious Creatures: A Guide to Cryptozoology by George M. Eberhart,
CryptoZoology A to Z by Loren Coleman and Jerome Clark, and
Beasts That Hide from Man by Karl P. Shuker. In this technology age, most people underestimate the value of books.

There's a really good book for this sort of thing, but the title is deceptive. It's called The Witch's Guide to Fairy Folk, and while that may throw you easily, it has this great dictionary in the back with every single cryptid and old urban legend you could ever dream of. Demons, nymphs, fairies, legends, heck, even Santa himself is in there. It's a great book, though I think the only useful part is the dictionary part...No sense in leaving milk and honey out for little naked fairies riding chickens, now is there

Naked fairies, hhmmmmm, interesting. lol I look uo everything on the list that MIB agent listed. The only thing that didn't come back with resoults was black dogs. What are they? If any one has any websites that tells you about them please list em. Now i'm going to see if I can find that witch book.

Black dogs also are death messengers of the death fairy Ankou, whose like the Celtic version of the grim reaper. He's a black cloaked figure in a black chariot, who plays a mysterious tune only the soon-to-be-dead can hear. The black dogs are sent to warn people of death in their families.

A dog that big would probably make someone go, "Huh..." Maybe even some of the more braindead population, "Aww a puppy!". If they didn't understand the significance of the black dog, of course.

It's a dog lying on a box, with it's head pulled back and resting in the neck of a man (or maybe woman) with lots of makeup, whose body is behind the box and whose head is over the top of the box to look like it belongs to the dogs body.
I laughed myself into cramps watching that!
Thanks for posting it!

I remember reading a book that was filled with cryptids, and one of them was a giant turtle. But I can't remember where it was seen, when it was seen, or what name was given to it, but it has been 7 years since I read about it.
