So, I was sitting here last night looking for something to watch at 5 a.m., and I was wondering what sit-coms that never really went as far as they should have, do people like.
There are quite a few that for me were/are hilarious, but they never really caught on. My biggest example is Reba.
That show cracks me up, consistently. Perhaps it's cuz Im both lame and odd, but I really like that show alot.
Can anyone else think of any?

Not sure how they're doing in the US, but I'd go with Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, According to Jim and My Wife and Kids. They seem to be struggling over here in Australia.

I don't know if this was underrated. It may even be overrated, but I LOVE it!
SCRUBSSeriously the one and only sitcom I've ever made a plan to watch every day for any length of time.

It must be underrated, since you and my Mom are the only two people I have ever heard mention it.
LOL.
Hmm...underrated shows...don't watch network TV that often, but I always thought the original few seasons of 'Cheers' with 'Coach' in them were better than the rest of the series.

Monk is definately an underrated show, but it's not a sitcom.
One of the most underrated sitcoms of all time has got to be Grounded for Life. After so many time slot changes and channel changes, the show just got canceled after like 4 or 5 seasons. Real shame because it was a hilarious show.

Loved that show. And had the bonus of having a hot sitcom-mom.

Two and a Half Men does well in Canada, as does How I Met Your Mother, King of Queens, and 'Til Death.

I agree there. I love that show. It's one of the best on tv right now for sure.

Scrubs has really taken a turn for the worst even more so in the last season. I'll be surprised if it's renewed or goes another 2 season. In the beginning it was funny overall and now it's kind of just dragging it out and recycling the same old jokes.

That show was great! I don't even recall if there was a single bad episode. The redhead in that show was sooo hot to!
Though I don't watch it as much as I used to I think King of Queens is pretty underrated.

Peep Show
This show is immensley funny and for a long while was quite underated and unappreciated although, now in it's 4th series, it is becoming more popular. If it's on dvd release or on tv outside the UK then definately check it out.
Two Pints on Lager and a Packer of Crisps. I think this show is also quite underated. The humour can be quite crude at times but it is handled well and can always make you laugh.
Two and Half Men is overated IMO as is Seinfeld and Arrested Development...

It may be popular in America but I saw a couple and just did not find it funny at all, hence why, atleast imo, it's overated.

The first three are all huge successes here in the UK.
All though not running now I think a really underated show was "Operation Good Guys"

I'm not surprised as the English have great taste when it comes to humor, but they all did extremely poorly in Australia and even if they were widely successful in the UK I'd still say that they are underrated in an international context, sadly.

Angel. For those that don't know it was a spin off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was darker and grittier then Buffy but still carried the same charm. It was more 'adult' in contrast to Buffy considering the cast where adults and not bound by the highschool setting and drama.

2-1/2 Men! That is a show I never miss.
Will & Grace, Reba, & Frasier, eventhough they're in syndication, still looove them!
