Nintendo all the way! (ZELDA)

I'm inclined to agree with you. I think Microsoft is the worst out of the three, yet I am using windows.
Sega is good with games, but not consoles.

Nintendo is the best, and Zelda is the greatest game of all time!

Personally I think all three of them are great in thier own perspectives.But since I own a PS2....Sony!Sony!Sony!!

I ignore the platforms and move on to the companies , as they are the ones that truly make the platforms great .

So far I would say

ID software ( Doom , wolfenstein )
BUNGIE ( Halo )
BLIZZARD ( starcraft , Diablo , Warcraft )
VALVE ( Halflife )
SQUARENIX ( mostly All Final fantasies , Xenogears , kingdom hearts , and other various masterpeices )

are the 5 companies that have shown great , immensily deep , and imaginitive games in the market . They are the ones who truly deserve the credit , not the platforms !

But in relation to the god games that come out ... tie between Sony and Microsoft .

lets not leave out EA games. Challenge everything!

Ultima Online is one of my favs. It is virtual crack as far as I am concerned.

Xbox baby!

Xbox has the most power out of them all, Xbox Live play and an extensive list of great games that cannot be found on any other platform... Second I'd say Gamecube, simply because it has one of my favourites, Zelda and a few others... but now Rare is working for Xbox, Gamecube has taken kind of a downfall.

I hate how everyone bags the Xbox because its made by Microsoft... I mean lets face it... it looks cooler, is more powerful, has better games, better controlers, better online play than Sony, some of the best production teams working for them (including Bioware and Bungie)... its just a great system

Im not bothered about online play. I prefer single players.

Well I do love my single player, but I believe multiplayer is a large component of a lot of different games and being able to play online just enhances the experience.

hmm...best online fantasy game, in my own opinion, vs Neverwinter Nights...*sighs*...aah...full customisation of your character's equipment, right down to what it does, with thousands of different properties...customisation of your armour with an infinite number of possibile appearance so you never have to meet your online twin and kill him for it...and some twenty character classes....and the ability to create your very own world, with fully customised creatures, locations, and npcs...aaah

...but since it's not made by any of the above...*ponders*...

Zelda I hate...it's just the same thing over and over: "Quick Link! Save princess Zelda!"...yeah...compairing it to Final Fantasy, which brings in a fresh new angle and plot with every single game, and actually has charismatic, three dimensional characters, is a joke.

I think you've got to go with Sony...they've got the biggest variety of games, and are dominating the market for a reason.

Nintendo are evil...they don't care much for consumer rights at all, and a fine example of capitalism at its most base.

The reason however that alot of Zelda characters dont have a "character" as in, Link not actually speaking is to try and make you create your own character from the characters. Well so the creater says.

Actually I prefer the fact there is no speech in the Zelda games. It allows you (in my opinion) to feel as if you are them as you play it. If you had like a persons voice speaking for your character you would think "Thats not me talking, it's them."

Although there is text to read so thats good enough for me. I like reading.

Sega wasn't bought by nintendo. They just worked with them to make F-Zero GX. That's like saying nintendo owns square because they made Super Mario RPG together.

About Zelda being the same, its not. And even if the story is bad everything else makes up for it.

I think every one of the three has thier own specialities.At the end of the day,you just feel like owning all of them. I'm currently enjoying with my PS2 but still,I'd really wanna try out those super games like Halo,Zelda & heck even Resident Evil.Just when the story's reaching the interesting part (after Code:Veronica),the whole remaining series suddenly moved to the GameCube.And darn you know I don't like GameCubes .So I guess I'll have to be happy with my PS2 and com ,til I strike a lottery that is.

Well, to further add to the war between FF and Zelda, I'd like to say that Bioware's "Star Wars: KOTOR" was an RPG that was better than both Zelda and FF, and that was on Xbox

EDIT: To Jasu... the Xbox controlers are a lot better... I was refering to the Xbox S Controller. And personally... the first one wasnt all that bad.

Dude, if you liked KOTOR, then get NWN It's by the same company, probably plays about the same, and it means I'd have someone to use as a test dummy for my server

i read in a ps2 mag a few months ago august i think? that there was several Resi games that had preposed for the ps2, one including a discruntled umbrella employee and an cruise ship?

I think you're probably talking about Resident Evil - Dead Aim; the rather crappy spin off or resi that, when you aimed your gun, had the added annoyance of going into 1st person veiw mode.

All I'm going to say is "NINTENDO ALL THE WAY!" I also have great respect for the Sony system; but I wouldn't own one. Nintendo releases the highest quality software on the most well roudned system; but also releases the least games. Playstation has the highest volume of releases and variety, but suffers by being the weakest system of the bunch and having the highest percentage of subpar releases (though the volume of must-haves is impressive.) Microsoft... well... if you want to play XBox games, just buy a decent PC; the line up is very similar and the hardware is exactly the same... except out of date.
If I get into this anymore; I'm going to get into another brawl with Sera... and I don't want to do that right now; especially since I won't be back on for awhile...

If anybody is a big xbox fan, could you name some games you like? same question for ps2 and 'cube. I don't like console wras, and its really the games that matter.

I don't rate the x-box, a mate of mine got one and some games play are short. He's complete T3 inside a week!!!

I've still got ps1 and a dreamcast but nothing beat the pc...!

I'm still working on getting everything in FF7. Recently I've been erasing most of my memory cards and playing old games over again. I usually do this when i forget how to beat a game. Working on FFTactics, Paper Mario, and Chrono Trigger.

I can remember the battle music for Final Fantasy 3 for the Snes. It was great!

I want the Zelda bonus disk! I've never got to play Majora's Mask.(will barter for a disk)

Nintendo is my choice. You can't go wrong with Windwaker, Metroid Prime, Super Monkey Ball, Pikmin and Mario. I had an X-box with Halo, but I got bored with it and gave it to some kids that live down the road, cause I don't think they will be getting very much this Christmas. I just wish that I would be able to play Halo2 on my cube

What can i say about nintendo? mmmmmmmm, errrrrr, mmmmm, errrrr...the console is a nice color.

I have a black one now - not as nice as the purple one.Oh and an orange pad - and a black one.

I already have a DVD player .....so the Cube works out just fine for me. Except PS2 does have Devil May Cry 1 and 2. I guess it really does just come down to the quality of the games, like someone said earlier. The only thing that sets X-box ahead is the hard drive(in my opinion). I can't really tell that it has better graphics than PS2 or Gamecube, cause I aint seen nothin' yet that can beat Metroid Prime or Rogue Squadron. It's the gameplay that matters anyway....I got my son one of those Atari controllers with a bunch of games already in it and can't wait to take it from him so I can play Missle Command. That was a fun game.

PS 2!!! now you're talking boys.Best console by miles.It may not be the most powerful, i'll give that to Xbox.But I've compared the same game on both and unless my contact lenses are dirty I couldn't tell the difference.It's controller is so easy to handle it almost melts in to the palms of your hands.As for the Xbox, I'd rather hold a keyboard in my hand.

The 'cube controller is my fave out of the three, but its not that different from the ps2 pad. Ps2 graphics are only behind by a little, but companies like squareenix get the best out of them. Graphics are really only shown by what the companies can do with them. Some games like Animal Crossing give up graphics for more memory. One thing I think was funny in retrospect is that towards the end of the ps1 is alot of my anti-n64 friends were complaining about stupid kiddie games like mario. Then right after the ps2 came out a bunch of "kiddie" games came out. (Sly Cooper, Jak)
