A friend of mine who was about 9 at the time was living in england. near his house there was this little forest and one night he was asleep and he woke up early in the morning and he saw a man on a horse looking at him from 200m away at the top of a hill and he walked to the window and he saw the horse rear up on its hind legs and run away.

A few nights later his brother woke up in the middle of th night and saw a ghostly child standing at the foot of his bed. he screamed. the rest of the family ran in the room and turned the light on and the ghost disappeared.

Interesting, but what can we say?
We don't have much information, and he was only 9, so I suppose it was a while ago?
UndeadKitten
yer he is 13 now

Yeah. But it would still be useful to those with an open mind.

It's the kind of story all of us have heard too much of. Ghost and only a few witnesses. We don't believe it because it's authenticity can not be proved by many. The only ghost experience I know that owns a lot of witness is the ghost flight 401, whose story has been shot into film. I think I don't have a provide a link to make you informed. We need more such encountering experiences, can anyone give some?

I would never post a personal photo of any nature here. Personal photo's of paranormal events attract all the extreme skeptics here that even question their own existence. Once it's posted, it's like sharks smelling blood...
It's how they get off.

Everyone seems to think the tools we are born with, ie. our 5 senses, are faulty and unreliable ways to measure paranormal activity.
The same tools that brought us from the stone age into the 21st century with space exploration, modern medicine, modern physics and so forth and so on.

I simply have more faith in the tools given man by God to perceive and measure his surroundings.
We aren't all born with faulty brains and means of perception.

Unless this guy is outright lying, (and I would have to be a liar at heart to believe this without knowing him), I have no reason to judge the story true or false.
Strange how some actually believe they know it all.

Firstly, who cares if sceptics don't believe you? seriously. Worrying about what other people think is just unhealthy. I actually like debating with people that have a different opinion to me.

Second. There's nothing wrong with human senses but sometimes you just naturally overlook things that you can spot if you study a photograph or something.

And finally, so far in this thread only one person has stated they don't believe him. I don't think that's such a bad hit rate.

Depends what your motives are for starting the thread.
Some people may want debate and overblown skepticism, while others may only want answers from those who've experienced similar phenomena.
And unfortunately I do worry when I see a group of people of the extreme "close minded type" who refuse to believe the truth's I and others have experienced.
I consider these experiences knowledge gained, and a lot of posters claiming personal paranormal activity are only trying to share it with others.

I know people for whatever reason, hoax paranormal things, but the hoaxers are for the most part, pretty easy to spot.
In cases where I'm not certain, or convinced, I simply make no assertion at all one way or the other. Just because someone is able to hoax something isn't evidence against the existence of the phenomena. original.gif
UndeadKitten
well guys its not a hoax..but if you want to ask the guy that saw it...his member name is Lirael.. he has posted on this topic before...
UndeadKitten
and the reason this topic was posted is for two reasons....one: to see if anyone else had a simular expirience
and two: to see if anyone else would like to tell their ghost stories...tozzman do you have one?

What's to believe or not believe? People see such things. That's part of life. If someone came here and said "my friend saw a raccoon," I would think that either his friend saw a raccoon, or his friend was mistaken. If he did, in fact, see a raccoon (or a ghost), it's not like it would turn my world upside-down.

I lean toward thinking he might have seen an apparition in the first case. If others unbeknownst to him have also seen a phantom horseback rider, then that would tend to corroborate the sighting. If the boy was in the habit of going around imagining things, then that would tend to swing the question the other way.

The vanishing boy at the foot of the bed is interesting, but hypnopompic hallucination can't be ruled out, especially if the event occurred all by itself.

See? No crisis of belief or nonbelief.
Lirael
the two might not of been linked it could of been a ghostly coincidence.

opinions?

I am new here but would like to add something to this post.
I have an old Scottish sword. One day I developed a roll of film. What I saw actually scared me. One photo was of this Scottish sword in mid air. I know I didn't take this photo and I have no idea who did. With the dog I had at that time NOONE was getting into the house. He was VERY BIG and very protective.
Another time, with the same sword, I happen to notice something in the basket hilt around the handle of the sword. I took it down and found a piece of parchment with writing in latin. I had it translated once but do not remember what it said.
I still have both the photo and the parchment.

It is in Latin. I had it translated a few years ago but I don't remember what it said. If anyone knows Latin let me know and I'll email it to you?

The way I feel about "ghosts" is that they are everywhere. I think if we used night vision cams walking down a street or thru an airport, cemetery or your home you would see them all over the place. I truly believe that all these stories I have read on here, and seen and heard in real life are not figments of our imagination, by any means. There are spirits that visit from time to time, those who are grounded due to not accepting their death, or those that cannot rest in peace due to the manner of death. It is said those who are violently murdered tend to not even know they are dead and if they do, they cannot move on, maybe till justice is served or they are told to move on thats it's "ok" they are safe. Poltergeists normally just mess with people and go from place to place just to wreak havoc, but they usually dont stay in one place more than a month or so. Then we have the malevolent ones, who were mean, and cruel in life and in death, and they can be harmful and must be taken down a peg, by a professional or someone who power. There are spirits that attach themselves to homes, and remain there, there are ones who attach themselves to people, for whatever reason, and some who are just lost and confused. Lastly there are those who are residual energy, those are the ones we see, in full form, and they come and go sometimes too. The darker ones I dont care to discuss, but all and all I dont think we have to prove anything to anyone or defend ourselves. Sharing our experiences is the best part of a site like this...JN
