Yesterday i just came to know that a lecturer that used to teach me, died.
I'm very upset and shocked.. he was a good person, and always told us students to fight for our rights, and be strong in life.

This maked me think about death, how something so unexpected and shocking, can turn people to miss a person which maybe they never cared about, or not showed that they cared. Death brings a sense of appreciation for the person which is lost, can makes one guilty for not caring more, for not understanding, for trying to spend more time with that person. This brings me to the death of my loved ones...and im sure everyone can feel that when a person they know or love dies. The ones left behind by the dead person, wonder if they did enough, its a sense of regret, of doubt.

So im just thinking that death in itself its a devasting experience for us, but it makes us realise that there can be no tomorrow, that we need to be sure that we show our respect, love, and appreciation at all time. It makes one appreciate life more and those persons around us which maybe we dont give enough to.

death can also heppen when you least expect it

I think we take life for granted and dont respect or understand "death" enough

we just dont expect it to happen to us but its inevitable

take for exapmle my mums work mate. She had just worked with him on Saturday (to day is wednesday) last night another work mate came over to inform my mother that the workmate she had seen saturday died monday morning of a heart attack. just like that.

so yeah as they saying or whatever goes live everyday like its your last and make sure you tel lthe people you care and love that you do care for and love them

Death really does happen to 'the other guy'. It never happens to 'us'.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know what you mean about feeling guilty, but I'm sure you showed him your respect with your attentiveness to his lectures (or in another subtle way). He sounds like the type of person who would understand that you might react to his ideas by living them instead of talking.

Yeah. I get what you're saying. People can be a bother, but we need to tell them how much we love them because, like you said, death is a time for appreciation of that person's life.

Sorry to hear of your loss.....many don't like to think of death, but it's something that we'll all have to face - we just don't know when and how. But when we are faced with it, the death of a loved one, it makes us think of life and those still with us. Even those, like you said, that we're not close to....when hearing of their passing still makes us feel sad, grieve for them.

Sorry to hear that Empress.

I love your post, and agree with it and you wholeheartedly.

Death is inevitable, so why fear the inevitable? Death is just changing of worlds, as REBEL quote says.

But as you say, people like him live on, and will never die. People who stand for the right and mash up the wrong, they live forever. You reap what you sow, and he planted good seeds, as you say, he was a "good" man.

Thanks for the post.
