The Need to believe out weights the need for facts.
They need to feed their fantasy and this is the best they can get.
They know that some believers will believe anything and everything that comes their way.

This fish has been flying around the UFO community since the 1980's and maybe even before that.... So I'm not surprised at all that this is still flying around. Just look at how often "Victor: Alien Interview" keeps getting dug up from the grave that it should stay in.

Looks very similar to the skate, a fish that has been used in the past to create hoaxed 'aliens' and other monsters by drying and folding it in such a way as to make it appear more humanoid.

These hoaxed creatures are sometimes also known as 'Jenny Hannivers'.

The Youtube video you posted contain someone reading some passage of the Holy Koran. I've heard aboout the story, presumably happened in my country, in Atjeh to be exact.

The story goes about a spoiled young girl from a poor family, but live a glamourous lifestyle, no matter how hard the family had to push it. The girl was so spoiled that anything she asked, the parents will grant it. One day, when her mother was praying, she appeard at her parent's room door, and asking for money to go hanging out with her friends. Her mother replied nothing, for she is praying. However, the girl got impatient, then kicked her mother (who's still praying), throwing away the Holy Koran near her mum and pulverize it! The girl then left the house and went to the beach with her friends. Upon home, she gradually changed into that creature and when she arived at home, the whole family was so shocked. The family then pray to God, hoping for mercy and forgiveness for the girl, and perhaps have her changed back. The video was taken during the ritual, I suppose.

That's what I heard. It's all up to you whether you want to believe it or not. One thing is certain though: The video was taken by camera phone and I suppose, the family came from rural areas with no adequate biology knowledge. So yes, they're not very smart and are very very superstitious.
