I am freaked out. The weirdest thing just happened to me. I’m at work and went to the bathroom. I am the only person in there and the faucet came on ALL BY ITSELF. It is on a sensor, but still….doesn’t it have to have a movement, wind, or something to have it come on???? The amount of water that comes out of the faucet is on a timer, so I think, because I myself is a extensive hand washer and I often have to sway my hands over the sensor to have the water start up again. So I’m on the pot and the first thing I think when the water starts up is that there must be piping problem. I just sit there and listen to the water run and then it finally stops, but not a millisecond later, it came back ON!! I have to admit that I was afraid to come out of the stall, but I eventually did. I washed my hands, stepped aside away from the sink and quietly whispered, “go ahead, do it again” AND the water started AGAIN!! Holy Crap!! I am not kidding with you!!

Perhaps the sensor sensed something...?

Maybe there is something wrong with the sensor.

I remember when I worked in an old victorian office back in the 80's that the loo flushed itself whilst I was in there alone. I have to say that it was an old one with the cistern up high on the wall and an old long chain you had to pull (this was before sensors were ever used anywhere). I just stood there still - then I hurried out. I don't know what happened, but for some reason I've never considered this as a ghostly experience, even though you would have to use a large amount of force to operate the chain.

Sometimes, the sensor can have a little too much sensitivity tuned into it. It probably sensed movement of somebody in the room.. I wouldn't worry about it. I remember I was staying in the hospital one time, and the faucet started turning on in the sink in my room. It went off, on, off, on, off, on for about two hours. Then, somebody came up to fix it because I was freaking out. LOL
I wouldn't worry about it... freaking out about a faucet turning on by itself, especially when it can be explained due to its sensor, is kind of silly.

Creepy.
I don't like to go in public washrooms alone, so I would have been terrified.

that is cool...(but probably is the sensor)
i used to work in an old building, many times late at night alone....i would see all kinds of shadows moving, hear things like walking (right up to my desk) and other crazy junk....i am not afraid to be alone like that but this place really gave me the creeps....it got so bad, i thought the there were people hiding in the building at night or breaking in....i started carrying a gun to work with me....the company eventually moved to better offices and there was no more problems....i think about it now and think it could have been the building creaking, light bulbs blowing, etc. etc. but it felt creepy at the time....lol

A problem with the sensor.
Movement sensors can be very touchy.
