Urinating into the victim's mouth or over their body
Burying people alive
Crucifixion and similar tortures
Electric Shock
Chemical
Injections
Drugs
Summoning supernatural beings
Sleep Deprivation
Sensory deprivation Tanks
Black Masses
Mock Marriages
Forced pregnancies
Pornography
Brainwashing
Kidnapping
Sexual abuse, including ritual sexual abuse of children of all ages
Murder (estimates go up to 10,000 a year and higher)

It would be nice if you included the link from whence you got this info... Gotta love Wikipedia... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanic_ritual_abuse Funny how this same website can have entries on the truth about Satanism, Anton LaVey, and his entire family... yet they promote this crude.

...So what are we supposed to discuss?

Lady Valkyrie, I must agree with you on wikipedia. And I agree that the ritual abuse stuff is crude, and insulting imo.

For the record, I am Gnostic Christian. Misrepresentation by those who do not know or do not wish to know has already caused enough bs in the world (like the Inquisition, for example). I guess folks like to put down what they don't comprehend so they can feel they have the moral high ground. Hogwash and balderdash.

This segment:

From the Wikepedia article

Beyond the Satanic ritual abuse scares which were directly based on questioning children, a large number of adults came forward in the 1980s and 1990s and claimed to have recovered memories of severe, often Satanic ritual abuse in their childhood. Later investigators diagnosed many of these adults as mentally ill. While criminal charges were rarely pressed because of the long time that had passed since the alleged abuse, media coverage of these adult testimonies nevertheless contributed to the belief that Satanic abuse was, in fact, a widespread phenomenon.

Many of the women who reported such memories had previously seen therapists specializing in child sexual abuse, or read books like The Courage to Heal by Ellen Bass and Laura Davis, which encouraged them to recover their allegedly existing memories of severe abuse in their childhood. At the time, some child abuse therapists used a technique known as recovered memory therapy (RMT), which worked from the presumption that the patients were so severely abused that their memories of it were repressed in childhood and could only be recovered by a specialist. This approach has involved hypnosis and drugs to stimulate the recovery of memories of abuse.

Is awfully close to the 'alien abduction' model. That regressive hypnosis is some scary stuff. Scary in the fact that the Therapist can plant images in the persons head (maybe even while not being conscience of of)...validating the event...even though it in all likelihood didn't even happen.

Believe it.
The Skeptic Eric Raven
I think it is a bunch of bunk just like abductions.
JMPD1
Don't believe it.

QUOTE
The Myth of Satanic Ritual Abuse
Anyone with a healthy sense of skepticism should find the claims of large, organized, transgenerational satanic cults hard to believe. Those who believe the claims say the following:

Organized satanic cults are active throughout the United States.
These cults have regular, secret gatherings at night.
At these gatherings, various atrocities such as the following take place:
human sacrifice of babies, children, adolescents, and adults
cannibalism
animal sacrifice
marriages to "Satan" and "High Priests" of the cults
sexual and physical torture of all kinds of people of all ages
The "victims" of the cults are drugged or "brainwashed" so they don't remember the rituals or the abuse immediately after it happens or for years thereafter.
The cult members "program" their children to continue these practices into the next generation. In this way, cult membership is passed down from generation to generation within families.
A decade ago, believers in "satanic ritual abuse" were quite forthright about their opinions. However, as scientific, medical, and law enforcement experts have pointed out the gaping holes and contradictions in these stories, the lack of evidence to support them, and the poor credibility of those who claim they are victims, believers in "satanic ritual abuse" have been exposed to skepticism and ridicule by an increasingly well informed and less credulous public.

Thats just silly, and cruel.

I mean, first of all, I'm sure the horse wouldn't like it.

And then, how the heck do you pick the thing up to use it as a whip.

Don't believe it, thats fine, but you are turning your back toward the truth. I have infiltrated some dark places before I saw the light, and I can say that SRA does exist.

Work in sex crimes long enough and you'll see SRA... but... but.... but.... but.... it's insulting?

Agreed. It's very insulting to its' victims.

Nephilim, did you even bother to read the article I linked to?

Or have you already reached a conclusion, and the evidence, or lack thereof is irrelevant?

Yes! I can see it in my mind....Gordon, Tony, John & Jack dancing naked around the cauldron....throwing in a cockerel or two...chanting..."O Lord of darkness...accept this our sacrifice...let us win the next election...."

Yeah, satanist covering their tracks, and you expect me to believe that? I know what these people are capable of, and I know how they cover their tracks, you can't pull the wool over a third eye.

Dark places eh lol? Like under your bed or a Wiccan book reading club?

You're right. *walks around in cricles, chanting magic words, slaps Nephilim Slayer on his behind, Hail Satan!* You've just been ritually abused!

But seriously now, I have mentioned this before but I shall repeat myself, I live in Victoria, BC Canada which has a reputation for being one of the "Satanic capitals of the world", this reputation is because of among other things but mostly the book titled 'Michelle Remembers'. It is said to be the book that really started the whole SRA hysteria. And like other cases of SRA the case of 'Michelle Remembers' makes allegations that are inconsistent with factual evidence. The parts where Satan actually appears to these "abused" people usually tips me off that these are hoaxes but police still need to investigate them, and the allegations do not hold up to reality. The house that it was said to have happened in was torn down and the street it was on 'Ash Road' was renamed 'Limerick Lane' because of the lasting stigma attached to it.

So call it "turning your back toward the truth", I'll call it "growing out of Christian hysteria". Oh and by the way I am pleased that the city I live in has this reputation... so thanks I guess lol.

Then you obviously did not read the link I provided for you, job well done proving again that you dont really care about facts but prefer make-believe over reality. Dont mistake my post as an attempt to change your mind, only you can do that, but rather its just a little more evidence to everyone else reading this that you dont have a clue. Thanks again lol.

Is the black magick performed on regularly scheduled (insult days?) (I forget what those are called)

I saw an article once about how the republican party gathers for dark ceremonies at an ancient 40ft high satanic idol of an owl someplace in (California?) I'll have to find that again, it was funny.
