Daren McAlaster: While taking an interest in the 'unexplained' as a child, I often wondered what the zig-zagging lights in the evening sky were. They were multi-colored and pulsating randomly yet the speed and angle of banking in flight were awesome. The circling and chase would last for about 10 - 20 minutes. Then off to play follow the leader, which was most comical in several ways. Shooting through the clouds and in front of the moon would stir any ones imagination especially a child of eight years old. Now that I have time and resource to search for the answers a new dilemma occurred. Finding facts about any paranormal event on the inter-net is almost impossible. From UFOs to ghosts to the fabled Chupacabra not to mention the famous moth man. Every site has information, problem is to weed out the 'made up' and arrive at some decision to answer your quest.Looking for a specific event that happened at a young age I found more than enough to fill any library but no information of the rural area in which I lived. My search deepened into multi-sites for the 'truth is here' , only if you buy the book. They will give you a small insert of the topic you want to know more about, then you 'must' buy the book to learn more. If I had information that would effect my fellow person and the earth we all exist on, it would not have a price tag on it, free is the only way to share the truth of the matter.
I've learned quiet a bit while doing researching in F.O.I.A. files, finding fonts on a 1947 document that wasn't created until the late 80's still amaze me and they want you to accept this as proof, no way. Then to the sites who inaccurately repeat the same information with a few modifications to facts such as age, dates, names misspelled, dead links, out of focus images.
There are some great sites out there and most will respond to email or snail mail and even by phone. It takes a lot of visiting and communications to be able to choose the right ones. I first began by just typing in a search term, then reading most of the time with no answers in sight. Then I tried the 'Tips on researching the unexplained', this helped cut down on my reading time. Now I have time to research the data instead of looking for it.
I do hope this will help you in your search for answers to your questions. The best advice I can give you is to try to prove it didn't happen, if you can't, then it may contain some fact. Then search out those facts farther. You maybe the one to expose the biggest mystery of all.
Happy Hunting,
D. McAlester
