I don't know if any of you have heard of this, but since I will be going to Norway this summer, I would like to have your opinion on this interesting monster sighting :

That picture from Cryptomundo.com is very interesting. It could be a lake monster. But the picture isn't the greatest quality. There are some real good people on here who could do some serious analysis of that picture. (unforuntaly, it's not me sad.gif)

Here and here are more link to lake monsters in Norway. These are from one of my favorite cryptid sites, americanmonsters.com

Happy hunting and bring us back pictures original.gif
Thunderbolt
the video is interesting
but the pic looks fake

isnt this creature name Stewsie? or is that is swizerland?

I think I recall seeing that pic somewhere on this forum before, last year sometime, and that particular pic says it's been posted by someone THIS year...somethin stinks.

Another lake monster..... when will it end? don't we have enough lake monsters? \maybe when someone will bring some solid proof of the existence of these "monsters" besides fake photos and blury films, I will believe them. But until then we are just wasting time. disgust.gif

I will attempt to bring some evidence then grin2.gif

The problem is that many of these lake monsters, including Norwegian ones, have been recorded for hundreds of years, so its not like people are inventing them out of thin air to get on TV. While it may all be superstition and nonsense, lake monsters often seem to be the dragons of our ancestors, who have given up competing with humans and have retreated to the only refuge from us left on earth - deep bodies of water. One of the things most of the legends agree with, is that these creatures are more intelligent than other animals, even on the par or superior to humans, and also associated with powers and abilities beyond our comprehension.

Although we knew they existed for centuries, live giant squid have only been photographed in the past few years despite our technologies. If the lake monsters/dragons are far more intelligent than molluscs, they could easily avoid our amateurish attempts to detect them, particularly so, so long as they regarded as noting more than dumb animals that cannot leave the water.

I'm not saying that all these people are inventing things but not always what you think you see it's also real. Why can't anyone get their hands on some real proof about these monsters and i'm not talking about nessie or some other lake monster, i'm talking about all tre cryptids in general. Not a single clear video, a pic that is not faked or blury, nothing, nothing nothing. Don't you think that even by a blind chance someone could come up with something real to work on? Many people see strange things or creatures but appearences can be deceving. So i'm stil waiting for evidence... thumbsup.gif

Maybe a more fun one to hunt in that part of the world would be Selma , the Monster of Lake Seljordsvatnet, but use a hefty strain of line, that is one big catfish.

Another real Lake Monster is Kuno the dog eater The size of this surely classifies it as a monster !

and who could forget

Hoan Kiem Lake’s Giant Turtle. as is with this one!

Lake monsters do exist, it's just that when we identify them people seem to be expecting some unknown beastie. So far they seem to be Turtles, Catfish or sturgeons of rather large proportions .

yeah we here at the US had a Pond monster
that turned out to be a incredibly sized snapping turtle
and not the large Alligator Snapping turtle but a common snapping turtle which dont get very big at all
i think the size of the creature was roughly around the size of a small dinning room table
so 6ft
but it sadly died of old age

rofl.gif ...I'm sorry, not that I think the turtles death is amusing, but could you imagine what would happen if it came-out that "Nessie" was nothing more than an unusually large turtle? I think I would hack-up a lung laughing...even though a dinning room sized snapping turtle is nothing to laugh at.

What kind of hat is it wearing?

I wanna say a boller, but I doubt anything that old would be that cool.
