Somehow I have the occasional abilty to predict what I will see on TV in the near future. I started noticing it a few years ago, when a clip of a show would enter my mind and later that day or the next day that episode would air. It went away for about 2 years and now it's back. I remembered seeing a show in which a guy is going to ask a girl to mary her and he says "sh** or get off the pot". I had a frien over at my house and I was flicking through channels. When I landed on this show I said out loud: "sh** or get off the pot" He was confused but I told him to just wait and listen. Sure enough the man sais this in only a few seconds. Then a few days ago I predicted 2 more things that came on only hours later. Thhis is really weird. And don't just say it was a preview I saw and forgot about. They don't show previews of insignificant part of the movie. Anyway, I'm beggining to write these things down when they happen. Just think of the applications of this if I could predict TV! What if I think of a news show saying that another plane was hijacked or the president was shot? Maybe I could stop it!

so you can see hell when you cover your eyes and now you have the ability to predict tv.
You will be great at parties.
Maybe because tv sucks and the amount of repeats they keep putting on has given you these amazing power's.

I have had it where I have thought of a film and it has suddenly shown on TV within that week. I seem to remember some other people on this Site saying the same thing too. Peculiar to say the least!
It wouldn't really matter about repeats, there are numerous films that could be shown but when the one I have been thinking of suddenly appears it is weird lol.

Because TV programs are so badly written they are amazingly predictable.

Exactly.
Or, you just saw the show before but you kinda forgot.

People talk about what they see on TV all the time, and what shows and movies that are going to be on TV, So maybe you just heard it without even noticing it. Or maybe you just read it somewhere, fast reading?. That happens even to me sometimes, when i play games or watch tv or movies, then i know things that i should't or maybe i have a deja vu feeling, but thats just because what i just said. Your brain gathers information from things that you even dont notice. This can vary and depends on how skilled/gifted you are at it, or maybe some other things as well, like your personality type?

Not quite on the same subject, but I am curious at the number of times I'll have a song going round in my head, then turn on the radio only to find the same track being played, and at the same point in the song. Given the limited playlists over here in the UK, its more a case of probability and coincidence, rather than me picking up radio transmissions directly.

You're watching too much T.V. again. You see leads, ads for upcoming shows, and you're referencing show titles.
This is re-run season. It ought to go away in the Fall.

I used to do that all the time, with the radio too i'd think of a random song and turn on the radio and sure enough it was on lol

I get this really bad. I probably have a 55% chance of predicting whats on TV before i even turn it on. And if I'm interested in something it will pop up.

One day I was thinking about the movie Phantom of the Opera then a TV programme showed some clippings from it. But I don't believe it's weird, just coincidences. It is just that some guys are having more of it.

i think the answer is that TV is so badly written and produced .that it seems like you've seen the show before .
there are so many CSI's/cop shows on CBS --i think i am seeing a re-run even if it's new .
you might have seen a promo on the show that had the scene in question in it--so in seeing the show that was a sort of re-run as well .
i'll bet m-night shamalon makes a movie--"trapped by the tube"--LOL

I had something like that. I could tell you what songs where coming on the radio at any time, and every now and then, words to a song I never heard before would pop into my head. then the guy would say, and there's the new song... and thoses words that poped into my head would be played on the new song. i couldn't explain it either.
