You need the appropriate spirit energy for that first.

You see, the creature you summon exists from the energy you generate, its strength depends on how strong you are.

Also you need a strong will to control it. You don't want the guy running around causing mayhem or killing you by sucking your life energy.

There are places you can go with a group for an investigation. Some place also have "public" investiagtions where you just show up, pay up, and go in along with whoever else shows up that day/night.

Some places also have special programs, events, investigations, etc for bonafide paranormal groups that may offer different access, opportunities, rules etc. than for general public investigations.

Ach I'm not that crazy.
But if we're just going to talk about summons... Sapping your energy would be common with amateurs. Sometimes evil spirits masquerade as your summon and you end up letting them into your personal space. When you try to retaliate they actually have to ability to physically harm you.

Few have the ability to really vanquish them, this is why I don't watch crap like Supernatural. All you can do is seal them for a set amount of time.

It was funny. We were at a paranormal event a couple of months ago. On the third day some people came up to us and asked for our autographs. We told them we weren't part of the event or with the 'headliners'. They said "We know. We still want your autograph" so we obliged.

You're opening a doorway with no idea what might be coming through and little power to push it back and close the door.

Ok you live in Iowa, so just check out any groups online and at first you may be able to go along as a volunteer and truly see if that is something you are able to handle, and if so, eventually you could be part of a team. At least thats how it works here..Give it a shot, but be prepared to be scared..

Also just try looking up alledgedly haunted places in your area. Usually these kinds of invesigtations (or tours) are done through historical locations, museums, restored buildings, etc etc.

Well sometimes it isn't, it isnt fun at all. Its one thing to see a video, movie or a picture, but to see or hear something in person can be downight frightening and at the same time an adreneline rush. But if you are interested go for it..When I had my team out, there were two volunteers, one was horrified and the other was very into it. Just takes a special person to endure the paranormal. If you are a Christian, you are a follower of Christ, and He is all about casting demons out, and sending unearthly entities back to where they belong.
It is not for me to say what a “good” Christian is – I believe it works different for all of us – but there are some things not to be done if you are a Christian – and this is certainly one of them.

This very thing was atempted by group of monks (I forget which order) they were successfull in creating a "helper" spirit. The spirit could do things, menial tasks and was very helpfull. After several months the spirit started to get unruly and misbehaving. The monks decided to banish the spirit.....it did not work. They had to call on thier whole order to banish the spirit. The entity they had sumoned/created was very dangerous at the end. So I would say if you summon/create something Evil it would snowball out of control very fast and you would not be able to get rid of it. The big question is; did they create the entity or did an entity come along and just pretend to be thier creation? This practice is life threatening danger not just a few bumps in the night (if you are successful of course). If you want demons etc. go read The Lesser Key of Solomon.

All the world's major (and most of the lesser) religons have strict bans on conjuring.

Myth and lore is full of stories of wizards and witches that conjured up a spirit to help them, protect them, fight for them, give them power/knowledge etc. and eventually had the spirit turn on them and destory them. There may be a grain of truth underlying these legends.

Perhaps you should listen to the advice the "Adults" are giving you....Do something constructive for yourself over the summer, instead of looking into somethiing which may not turn out good for you...Oh, and try to lose the attitude...It's really unhealthy....Other than that, have a good day...
