Who takes pictures of relatives right after they die? To me that is the most bizarre thing!
The first pic is strange. I can't figure that one out. Unless the TV was on.
The second one, it looks to me, like the corner and part of the rail on the hospital bed. I don't see anything else in it.
I'm just amazed that someone, when their father, son, brother, or uncle died, felt like taking a picture.
someoldlady, thanks for the info on EXIF data!
Post mortem pictures used to be the normal thing to do. Back in the day when no one owned a camera, and all photos had to be professional, having your picture taken was rare. Then, someone would die, and a photographer would be called to take pics, so there would be something to remember them by. Great pains were taken to make the loved ones appear live (most of the time), they would be propped up and posed with other family members (after all, you have the photog there, may as well make it a family portrait). Some post mortem photos even had open eyes painted on the deceased later. One post mortem photo I saw even had the dead mother propped into a sitting position holding her baby. Some people continue the tradition, even though it isn't all about not having any other photos. I have casket pictures of my step-father and of my mother. When my sister's baby died, she took pictures of him, but my mother destroyed them, thinking it was just morbid. When my sister died, mom refused to let anyone take pictures of her. When my stepfather died, mom said she regretted tearing up the baby's pictures, and not having pictures of my sister, would I please go take pictures of Louis, and keep them for her? She didn't want to see them, just wanted to have them in case she decided to look at them later. She never did look at them, and when she passed away 6 yrs later, I took pictures of her. They aren't something I look at all the time, but they are there. There are orbs in them too, but we know orbs are just dust or reflections, lol.
And you are welcome for the EXIF info.
