I pulled them off of about.com

These are good.
The one with the TV, seems like just another family photo, and the fact that there is only a reflection of the ghost and flash in the TV. Makes it believable. I have a few pics of TV screens with flashes, and those screens are always black – no reflections.

The second one seems a little “staged” – who takes a pic of a sleeping man (yaerh I know – it happens– but how often do you do that?) and the “ghost could be anything from a brown paper bag to a masked person.

It's from an old hospital I think was the explanation. Looks pretty good to me ... there's another one too taken a little bit before or after this one and it's also pretty good. Paranormal.about.com got a pretty good gallery, some interesting pics there for sure. Good post.

Cheers,

IMO the first pic could just be a show on the TV photo'd at the right moment. Or a still frame from a movie.

The second is probably just matrixing.

Sound good – I newer heard of this photo before, I look into it.
Thanks for the link

If the TV is on – yes.
asc.rudeboy
yea to be honest the first one looks like a movie real,,the lighting is coming from the bottom of the face almost looks like a screen shot from a gangaster movie,,also the head is the right size for being a movie, like the opening to menu on a dvd,,but i dont see any power lights on the tv,,,but i would have yo go wityh a screen shot,,,looks cool non the less
Regency
The second one looks quite eerie I think - it seems pretty old to me and he may be just sleeping, but he looks dead to me. hmm.gif
Jules22871
If I remember correct the second pictures is one of a deceased man right after he died.

This is a good time to ask this and sorry for going a little off topic... I had read somewhere that cameras can only pick up certain colors in a television screen and that is where you get some of these stange images from. I have never tried it before. Can some of our camera experts help me out with this one?

I don't get it. Why can't that just be a guy on tv? Sometimes TVs just don't photograph well. I just don't see why it was assumed to be paranormal. I toyed around with it a bit in photoshop and you can see a tiny bit of background, some of it's visible on yours, Barek. Look at the man's left ear and his left shoulder, there are two visible horizontal white lines. Or maybe he's just moving very fast, and maybe his name is "Phillip", and that's HIS tv! tongue.gif

The second one is strange. The glowing spot seems like it would be harder to explain. That face really doesn't look right, it looks like someone with Leprosy or a severe burn victim... or as Kroll mentioned a mask or something more mundane like a bag. The guy in the bed really doesn't look very alive. no.gif

The first pic is a fake, i mean when you take a picture of someone you focus the camera on that person not just on half of it and please don't tell me she took a picture of herself eating... About the second one i don't know but the guy seems to be either in a coma or dead. The pic is not very clear so anyone can see whatever they want in pics like this even if they are not fake.

I ain't "perceptive" in anyway, but I do listen to my gut feeling, and I gotta say that the second picture gave me the creeps!

I have so many pictures of my kids that look just like that. If you are in a hurry to catch a funny situation, or if the kids move (mine do move a lot – pheeeyw wacko.gif ) you will end up with your 39´th pic of your TV or wall, and the ear of a kid.
Im glad I fanaly get a digital camera original.gif

The guy is supposedly dead. Follow the link provided by GeneBrowne in his post – a great site with the pic and the story – thanks Gene thumbsup.gif

It might just be degradation of the photo, which seems old, but if not, it sure fits the legends about Death wearing a black cloak and coming to collect, doesn't it? original.gif

BTW, there are methods to take pics today and convert them to seem black and white and quite old, aren't there? Is it possible to tell if it originally was color, or digital, etc? No specific reason, just crossed my mind with this old pic.

And, yeah, bed dude is dead, I'd say. Not long... I believe the claim it was taken right after death. Looks like it and feels like it.

Digital photos have EXIF data, which tells things like the shutter speed, whether flash was used or not, whether the photo was edited (the edit even counts if you made the picture smaller or cropped out someone who didn't want their faces shown in a public forum). I use PaintShopPro, and can look at the EXIF data in that program. Edited to add: I wasn't real clear about that, the EXIF data can only be seen on an original digital picture. Some programs remove the EXIF data, and a scanned image sometimes will show no data. For instance the old one that Barek edited, the EXIF data was blank when I looked.

Who takes pictures of relatives right after they die? To me that is the most bizarre thing!
The first pic is strange. I can't figure that one out. Unless the TV was on.
The second one, it looks to me, like the corner and part of the rail on the hospital bed. I don't see anything else in it.
I'm just amazed that someone, when their father, son, brother, or uncle died, felt like taking a picture. wacko.gif

Wow, thanks! I am just learning how to use my little digital camera I've had for a couple years and never used, and this is all new to me. In PaintShop Pro you can read this exif data?

How do you like PaintShop? I am in need of something and the Adobe stuff is out of my budget but I have heard PaintShop is nearly as good in most ways for an average person like me. Would you think so?

I love PaintShopPro. I have used it since version 3, am now on version 9. I have never used Photoshop (it is out of my budget too), so I can't offer comparison against PSP. Post mortem pictures used to be the normal thing to do. Back in the day when no one owned a camera, and all photos had to be professional, having your picture taken was rare. Then, someone would die, and a photographer would be called to take pics, so there would be something to remember them by. Great pains were taken to make the loved ones appear live (most of the time), they would be propped up and posed with other family members (after all, you have the photog there, may as well make it a family portrait). Some post mortem photos even had open eyes painted on the deceased later. One post mortem photo I saw even had the dead mother propped into a sitting position holding her baby. Some people continue the tradition, even though it isn't all about not having any other photos. I have casket pictures of my step-father and of my mother. When my sister's baby died, she took pictures of him, but my mother destroyed them, thinking it was just morbid. When my sister died, mom refused to let anyone take pictures of her. When my stepfather died, mom said she regretted tearing up the baby's pictures, and not having pictures of my sister, would I please go take pictures of Louis, and keep them for her? She didn't want to see them, just wanted to have them in case she decided to look at them later. She never did look at them, and when she passed away 6 yrs later, I took pictures of her. They aren't something I look at all the time, but they are there. There are orbs in them too, but we know orbs are just dust or reflections, lol.
And you are welcome for the EXIF info.

Hmm, perhaps I should change my name to someoldladywithcats. Yeah, those are my cats, I have a lot of them. My house is listed on the cat bulletin board as a good place to go for a warm home and plenty of food, strays come along all the time. My family brings me strays they find because they know I can't say no to them.
