I have a theory about the 9/11 conspiracy theory.
My idea is that the 9/11 conspiracy theory that is so prevelent on this forum & many others is in fact a conspiracy in itself.
What i mean is that the idea of a government plot is the invention of a 'clique' of wishy washy, bleeding heart mal-content liberals that are determined to use the terrorist attack (which by the way they owned up to) & turn it inward as a means to try to destablize the government they blame for all their own woes & ills.

I agree...and I also think muslim extreemists try to keep the 'inside job' conspiracy going to confuse and
divide the West.

Its the reason for the stand down ordered by the Vice President.
I know you can't understand what the UFO is or how it came to be,
but under the premise that after WWII the saucer craft that escaped
from Germany to Antarctica, the power behind the stand down is clear.

Maybe. Or maybe it was another example of State sponsored terrorist activity as conspiracy theorists allege.
I think you are correct itsnotoutthere, in that a small minority of people may use the 9/11 conspiracy theories expressly to discredit the current US administration.
It is not the "wishy washy, bleeding heart mal-content liberals" as you say who are "inventing" the conspiracy theories though - it is the hundreds of unanswered questions and irregularities surrounding 9/11 which are fuelling the theories.
I do not live in the US. I don't particularly care about Republicans or Democrats. I would struggle even to define what a Liberal actually is. Yet I can still clearly see more sense in the conspiracy theory version of events than in the official account.
