OMg i recently found this site http://labete.7hunters.net/beast/index.php?board=1.0 and its got EVERY sort of information ever known about the beast. God some of the tales are terrifying and horrific but this site has sources to back it up unlike many cryptids this crypid killed over 100 people and TRUST ME IT WAS NO WOLF, if you look int to the attacksthe method of killing and research the beast then u research wolves you will find out that this creature this evil horrific beasts was and always will be one of a kind just some things it did are so sadistic shocking like for example it well documented in a book with like 20 eye whitnesses this creature scratched the eyes out of a women and then when a crowd of people tried to stop it the creature SPAT BLOOD AT THEM! This creature spat blood often something no wolf would ever do.

Thanks to the crowd saving her she lived to tell the tale but was blinde for life

That is quite right, it was not a Wolf, it was more likely a Wolf-Dog hybrid escpecially bred for hunting. Then hunted, killed, stuffed and lost. If you do a search you will find a wealth of information here as well

however from what ive read the last attack was during the 18th century.

and im shore the story changed on the way so all these different stories could actually be the one just changed a bit and it might of just been a wolf that was unusually large and angry.

however its good that you found another story about the beast.

On a previous thread concerning the Beast Of Gevaudan, I also stated that it resembled more of a wolf/dog hybrid. If you look at the picture of the beast, the famous one, the side depiction, you'll notice a curled tail.
