I don't see why they are paying him that much...I mean soccer isn't a big deal in the states. I would rather have him play in a place where soccer is more of a popular sport...somewhere where he would be appreciated. Its like having Michael Jordan play basketball in Japan...its a waste.

Madrid tried to find a loophole to keep him with them but its been blown out f the water, he is without doubt playing the rest of his football in the USA. I don't think he can popularize the sport here in the states on his own. He may bring sell some more seats and get more viewers but I doubt soccer will become as big as american football, basketball, or baseball.
