I posted the family secret about a spacecraft buried in a gulley in Flatwoods WV. I doubt anyone believed it even though there are many believers on this site and I seriously doubt any government person would take a report on it.
I am guessing it has pretty much always been this way, that secrets were not kept hidden as much as when they were told they were simply ignored.

We live in a negative plastic society where we are made to conform to the standard views. Questioning things will not only get you laughed at if they sound far out, you can even get anger, hostility and outright violence directed towards you.
You should question everything in life and if somebody doesnt like it blank them. By all means share your secrets, ideas and thoughts with like minded people but dont give the others a second thought.

would you be able to identify the site, perhaps on a map? why havent you taken photos? why has this remained a 'family secret'?

It is easy enough to find I for the right people with the right equipment I imagine even though I can not locate it on a map. There is probably only one large gully filled in with rock and covered with dirt on the outer edges of the original few dwellings that made up Flatwoods around 1900.
It simply remained a family secret because the family knew the person who told the rest of the family was known never to lie. Who would believe a bunch of rural people from WV about that or much else for that matter unless they knew them personally?
Perhaps someone with a metal detector will stumble across it someday or it will simply stay lost until one of our descendants has the time, money, and inclination to go search for it.
Or, you know, you could /tell/ people outside this forum.

They used wells then with large wooden buckets. Even hand pumps that you primed did not come into that area until much later. In the 1960s there were still people in WV that used wells and buckets. Think third world and it will help some.
Anyway the topic was about secrets and what happens with most of them and I think your remark helps to show that a great deal.

No. I would rather get new carpeting and a spa.
I have already thought about what would happen if I actually did locate it after wasting my own money and my own time to find it. It would not make any difference at all for anyone except me being out of pocket for nothing.

Thats good to hear there are secrets not ment to be told
I've actually had to "lie" because the truth about secret goings on was discoverd.Disinformation was the only way to solve the problem.A secret is just that:SECRET:EYES ONLY.YOU WILL SEE VERY REAL COSEQUENCES IF ORDERS ARE NOT FOLLOWED.We are talking real secrets,right?People who talk are just ASKING FOR IT.Personaly,i can be trusted,yes.Sometimes we have to trust others,wich can backfire.(i prefer to work alone) But it cant be helped in some situations.Know yer people...trusting the wrong ones can cost you.And disinformation is your best bet when used right.
If you tell the right people then it will be ok, but theres little chance you will find them. Unless your lucky. Not too many real believers out there. And even less people who are believers who would even know what to do with an incredible secret.

Let me see what I would do...hmm being 16 years old I would most likely use it for the better of the world without telling the goverment.
keep it to myself it's a secret for a reason and it would be the most honorable thing not to let it out now IF someone were to threaten me i would not only put a whooping on the person, but every single individual i know and their friends and their families would know almost immediately what that secret may have been
