"Saturday Nov. 8th (2003) at about 10:40 PM (MST) a friend of mine was riding a church bus from California to New Mexico. This was the night of the eclipse and the Harmonic Concordance. When the bus was somewhere between Holbrook, AZ and the NM state line, a huge flash of light lit up the sky. It appeared to be an incredibly intense beam that came from the sky to the earth. It was bright enough that the Air Force scrambled its fighters thinking there had been an explosion of some kind. The light lasted about ten minutes. My friend's bus stopped as the light was "hitting" the freeway and the driver did not want to drive through it. Everyone got off of the bus and she took two pictures of the light. Other than it being a very strange beam of light she did not notice anything unusual about it until she got the developed pics back on Monday. We later learned that many people in Albuquerque phoned in to talk radio to report seeing it."

This is so cool.. looks like a guy from smoke fire .. weird though

Hmm... the fact that this photo was taken by someone from a church group is a bit too much of a coincidence for me. I'll have a play with the original piccie to see just how easy it is to come up with the 2nd just by playing around with colour balance and what not.

Ok now that I've re read the orginal message there's little point in doing what I was planning to do - DOH!

Cool Picture!!!! And I like to think that is Jesus... or maybe an Angel! It is reassuring to know that Jesus is looking over us at all times!

It does look like some type of religious figure walking within the light! Interesting (with my eyebrow raised...)

Waouw ! Can't say nothing else. It's an incredible picture. But if you look carefully, you can also see the man in the first but he has somthing on his head (low corner left), you can see his dress.

i think its fakie fakie fakie...if it was Jesus first of all it would be way more spectacular, and visible from all parts of the world, many of the world's population would have risen, the dead Christians would have risen, and many angels would have been playin trumpets...then wed be experiencing Hell on earth rite now haha. it is an awesome pic...but i think somebody ruined what respect it could have had if they just left it alone and posted the beam of light, cuz that is very interesting...

The edges of the light beem look to regular and wavey to be real and the light covers a wider area of the ground than the beam is wide.
To me it looks like an over exposed daylight shot of somone in a light colourd rain coat in the rain thats been edged and masked to give the beam effect.
