hey i was on google earth and typed in area 51 and seen these weird things that look like flashes or really big sparks what do u think it could be ??

yeah that could be true and the more i look the more i see and why do they have such big runways? their everywere !

actually it looks like it is showing vehicle movement you will notice the plane taxiing has the same effect.

i no its crazy and if u look for urself you can see planes on them

yeah i heard the planes were to transport workers and they used big black buses with the windows blacked out or with no windows atall, its all weird and if anybody else has any pics of area 51 they can post them here

the blocked out the window so the workers didnt know where they were, thats what i heard

Wait.. so the workers didn't know they were working in Area 51? or they didn't know where Area 51 was? I think either of those seem pretty unlikely (since location of area 51 is pretty well known).

If I had to guess about blacked out windows, it would be so the average person couldn't look in and see who was working there, to avoid harassment from over-enthusiastic people.

You know what would be scary....is if the US government DIDN'T have secret bases.

Always one of my arguments against exotic or alien propulsions allegedly in use at Area 51 - why do you need 10km (or so) of runway for antrigrav propulsion Aircraft utilizing some sort of exotic 'Newtonian' propulsion must have precious little aerodynamic or velocity-induced lift to need that length of runway - even a B-52 gets up quicker than that, and that relies on the curvature of the Earth to get airborne!

Its a motion blur from the movement of the satellite. They move pretty quickly you know.

This is actually very common w/satilite images when something it on the bright and/or reflective side. The roofs would qualify on this account. Nothing here at all but just 'lense glare/streaks.

If you believe this - I have a 'bridge' to Hawaii that I'll sell you and I will throw in the rest stops for free! Sigh ......

I heard that they have extremely long runways at area 51 to allow the experimental aircraft to land, I cant remember exactly where I heard this but I remember some guy on another forum saying that the generation of experimental aircraft come's into land so hot/fast that they need a huge distance to slow down and stop.

It is possible that such a long runway could be usefull in testing a new type of propulsion system, even if it was of a type that gave the craft the ability to hover. The test vehicle could achieve speed close to the ground so the stability of the system could be varified. It is a common practice to "taxi" test experimental aircraft, a really long runway could be very usefull for this.
