Well, I've had this idea for a while now and want to know what you guys think of it. Also, if you know a story extremely similar, then tell me, because I had little inspiration from other works for this. There currently no title, though "Knights" is the best I could make up.
2456 A.D. The world has changed from what it is in your time. Plate tectonics has shifted the Earth into 5 major land masses. The countries you know are no more, China, Japan, United States of America, Germany, and many others have all been wiped from the face of the Earth. 5 rulers each have their continent, and each has their own way of thinking. From dictators to Kings and Queens, the five rulers each rule their country differently. While peace is struggling to survive the inevitable war will break out. There is no evil, nor is there good, just.....just a war. With other natural disasters occuring more and more frequently, it seems as if humanity will soon be wiped out. Will one nation eventually claim victory, or will it be too late, and the victor has nothing more than chunk of dry Earth without more than a few living life forms? Find out in Knights.
Well that is it. I hope to one day make it into a novel. Ah, but now I'm too busy.

I like that..
This is an interesting idea. The only thing close enough to this that I have seen is a crazy game of Risk. Sounds good. From which country's perspective are you going to tell it from? Oh and another thing, I would make it take place a little later than 2456AD. 400 years doesn't sound like enough to make the continents shift to make our current countries indistinguishable. Or you could say the tetonic plate shift was accelerated by nuclear war.
But those are just my thoughts.... good luck

I had an interesting idea from a book I read, I will either switch perspectives each chapter or write it in 3rd Person. I was gonna say that the tectonic shifting was accelerated by man's activity and the magnetic change on the Earth in 2012, ofcourse then I'd have to release it before then.

Thanks for the comment.

This does sound interesting...you may want to check into copyrighting the idea before you share it on the net.
I was a little disappointed that there wasn't going to be "evil" and "good." Essentially, that is a theme that puts tension in a story--makes it worthwhile. (Just look at the Star Wars series--well, just about every successful story has a struggle between good and evil.)
However, if you could pull off a story that worked without this universal struggle, I would be impressed. It would be different, that's for sure!

I like the idea of switching perspective every other chapter. It will allow all sides to be heard. And good job of adding the magnetic pole switch in 2012. Kinda reminds people that the world isn't going to end, just change.
