i have always wondered why ghosts still were cloths. a ghost is someone who is dead and there spirit or soul leaving their body but cloths cant die and thay dont have a soul

Why, just because they're in another dimension of some kind, would they suddenly desire to run around naked in the rare cases of manifesting in full body to people? If Gran never would waltz around nekkid to you as a kid, why would she now? I'd be more surprised if they didn't dress for the occasion, really.

Clothing is a large percentage of how we actually see people. If you ever doubt it, try being in the military and accustomed to seeing Joe in uniform and then run into him at the Mall and find yourself pausing to connect a name and feeling a slight surprise to see him in jeans and tank top, with tattoos showing .

I had a friend tell me once that the reason many people who are retired military or retired cops have to struggle to recall names more than others seem to do is because for years we had the subconcious prop of nametags on uniforms to help recall names and so developed that recall less than others.

I like to believe that is true, and not just that we're getting old *snickers*

But, to a degree, it is true. We identify things by the totality, and for us, that usually includes clothes when it comes to other people.

I think some seem to be clothed because as they die they take that impression, or take with them that imprint as they were in their lives, or when they passed.... imo

I think we see ghosts clothed because they're manifestations of a no longer physical entity, so you can "manifest" pretty much any which way you want. So, if I'd try to appear to someone as a ghost, I surely wouldn't project a naked image of myself.

The same reason they wear clothes. For instance, my mother knows if she were to appear in front of me nekkid, I would likely be shocked and embarrassed. I don't want to remember her that way, I want to see her like I saw her in life, with clothes. She wouldn't be rude enough to just walk through the door, she would knock first to warn me that someone was there (in case I was nekkid, lol). Seriously, I believe spirits would want to show themselves as we would have seen them in life, so we would be more likely to recognize them.

Imagine yourself in your favorite room of your home.
Get a good image of yourself standing there.
Now open your eyes.

A strong theory is that a ghost is the rememberance of a person of themself. Therefore, most people remember themselves clothed, not naked.

LOL Exactly. It is difficult to do anything like run around nekkid when you do have something in your house. We are so blessed that WE are the ones with the cameras..

You are correct!! I just had a silly thought as to lets say we lived in a parallel universe with "ghosts" and they took photos of us. How embarrassed would we be?

Why do ghosts wear clothes? Because most of them come from a time where people were more modest.

There were reports of some naked dancing ghosts on the edge of a road in some Middle Eastern country some years ago. It was suppossedly witnessed by a couple dozen people.

I wouldn't wanna see the ghost either... but let's stick to the main topic.
I think that they don't where clothes, it's just an illusion so that the ghost is recognized or something like that.

It could be what spiridion said, or it could be the spirits prefer being clothed. Or, it could be that people prefer to see them with clothes, as their consciousness only accepts viewing clothed creatures, especially if it is human, and so, they usually see spirits with clothes on. Most people aren't comfortable seeing spirits who are "nude" even when spirits don't have a need for genitals nor truly have genitals since their physical body isn't there. Another possibility is that people are feeling and seeing memory echoes, this is caused by the energy that the area/building has absorbed during a 'significant' events. Once the area/building has collected enough energy, it is able to form a consciousness that was subjected to the energy that the area/building has collected and absorbed. Which means that whatever people are feeling and seeing, the area/building has recorded so to speak. And during those "significant events", the people experiencing it could've been clothed.
