eh...I really don't agree with the places they let you choose from on the list. It's supposed to be the 7 wonders of our CURRENT world. Almost everything on the list was made thousands of years ago. The only one I agree with is the statue of liberty since it was made "recently".

the combined Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Bell restaurant in Tampa, Florida isn't on the list
so imo the list isn't worth the paper it isnt written on

It was actually put in New York City in October 28, 1886... I think the newest one there is the Sydney Opera House built in 1973

If you wanted a modern Wonder, I'd suggest the International Space Station. Or the Hubble Telescope.

I vote for Angkor first
2. St. Basil's
3. Colosseum (been there, awe inspiring)
4. Kiyomizu Temple (been there, it's remarkable)
5. Petra
6. Taj Mahal (been there, again, remarkable)
7. Machu Picchu (almost went there but missed my flight. haha)
I'd have voted for Chichén Itzá which I've visted as well, but there are better pyramid complex's in Mexico like Teotihuacan. I found that complex to be far more fascinating.
And I didn't agree with all the locations... I've have replaced the Statue of Liberty with something else like Notre Dame or St. Peters or the Palace of Knossis in Greece.

I wouldn't vote for any of those, especially the Statue of Liberty. Sure it's a very nice statue, but a
wonder of the world? Come on!
As for more modern wonders, here's some of my ideas:

Petronas Towers

LOL!
I agree 101 percent!!!
Deciding it should even be listed is the 'wonder of the world'.
Knowing why when & how it was built leaves us with not much to wonder about.
Maybe they were all smoking something at the time...has to be a joke.

1. The Pyramids of Gizeh: the only one surviving wonder of the ancient world, and still a wonder to modern technology.
2. The Akropolis, Athens: one of the highest achievements and symbols of western civilization.
3. The Flavian Amphitheatre (Colosseum), Rome: the largest amphitheatre in the roman world and one of mankind's greatest engineering feats, also a symbol of the roman civilization.
4. Saint Peter's Church, Rome: the most impressive monument of Christianity.
5. The Pantheon, Rome: the best preserved temple of the ancient world, still the largest concrete free-standing cupola ever built and a masterpiece of sacred geometry.
5. The dome of the rock, Jerusalem: sacred to three religions.
6. The Fortress of Sachsaywaman, Cuzco: The world's largest surviving megalithic architecture and one of the wonders of the New World.
7. Le Krak des Chevaliers, Syria: a masterpiece of European medieval warfare

The Ajanta Caves - in Maharashtra, India are rock-cut cave monuments dating from the second century BCE, containing paintings and sculpture considered to be masterpieces of both "Buddhist religious art" and "universal pictorial art".
Fontana di Trevi - Largest of the baroque fountains of Rome. Taming of the waters is the theme of this gigantic fountain that tumbles forward, mixing water and rockwork, and filling the small square. Tritons guide Neptune's shell chariot, taming hippocamps fleeing the cascading pools.
The Gardens of Versailles - The vast gardens of the Palace of Versailles near Paris, France.

Hmmmm....They could have chosen some more modern wonders but then again I dont believe we have that many wonderous buildings these days or buildings of which I would say deserve a place on the list but I would definitly keep the Taj Mahal on that list and the forbidden city would have made a good addition as well.
As a modern wonder, maybe the North Sea protection works that the Netherlands has? Or what about the construction work in Dubai? The Palm Islands?
I heard you can actually see that from space?
